Mark Morriss, singer/songwriter who famously made his name fronting English indie The Bluetones (disbanded in 2011), has revealed a new video for his track "This Is the Lie (And That's the Truth)", taken from his new solo EP of the same name.

The EP was released last week (December 6) through Acid Jazz Records. You can get your copy of the EP here

According to Morriss, the album title was inspired by a rather unpleasant revelation: "The album title refers to that moment when you’ve just turned off the light and everything remains semi-lit for a split second. It’s a revelation of a bad thing, rather than a good thing."

Take a look at the video below.

Watch: Strange Talk Share "Climbing Walls" New Video Version

[It was] by far the most challenging video I've had to shoot so far, but a lot of fun."

Take a look at the summery video below, it was directed by Kyle Thrash.

And here's the first version of the video, released in 2011.

Welsh three-piece Manic Street Preachers have shared the video for "Manorbier", another cut taken from their twelfth studio album 'Rewind The Film', which was released in September. Get your copy here.

‘Manorbier’is a cinematic instrumental about the Norman castle in West Wales where Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw used to write, was James’s attempt to “splash love on the canvas” with the aid of a leviathan theremin riff. It offers a way out, because with the Manics there is always a way out, and it leads to ‘30 Year War’, a powerhouse history lesson about the crushing of the working class and the baleful return of “old Etonian scum”. [Dorian Lynskey]

Based loosely on Marco Polo's "Travel" and reading like a map of the protagonist’s geographical and inner journey, The Travels reveals new places and new emotions that are never the same to the beholder. LCD Soundsystem To Release Final Show As Live Album Next Year

LCD Soundsystem's final show took place at New York's Madison Square Garden in April 2011, and was documented in the 'Shut Up and Play the Hits' film. Now, James Murphy has confirmed a live album of the show next year.

Speaking to Rolling Stone Murphy said:

And finally, Jesus, the fucking live album. It’s killing me. That’s been just murder... I mixed it significantly differently than the film [Shut Up and Play the Hits], because the film is mixed for your eye and the record is mixed for your ears... It was like the concert happened, and then I spent the next year and a half fucking with it. I was like, “I’m done! Ah, shit. I gotta go deal with the fucking movie.” I had to do Shut Up and Play the Hits, and dealing with the live footage, and mixing all the sound for the live footage, and then I had to do the whole four-hour concert and edit all that footage and mix everything. It was great, but also, like, shitting hell. It really just refused to die. I guess somebody else would just have someone else deal with the movie, but I'm an idiot and wanted to mix all that audio.

It is expected to be released in early 2014.

About the single, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Sebastian explains: "We wrote 'A Million Shining Colours' based on an idea which runs through much of the material on the new record; that we would try to develop our songwriting, partly by looking back in music history. The lyrics, to me, are about that feeling I think many people working with music or art in any form gets sometimes, that it's a bit hopeless what you're doing. It's about coming to terms with that, to able to look at yourself and what you burn for in life, in all it's hopelessness, and smile."

The band's hard-hitting electro pop is rooted in the 80s electronic movement, 90s techno and 00s electroclash (a movement that, like, Schwefelgelb, was fond of trashy aesthetics and sexual ambiguity).

!!! (Chk Chk Chk) have announced they will release a new Xmas single titled "And Anyway It's Christmas" next week.

The song will be out on Limited 7" on December 10 via Warp Records, and will feature a "Dubmix" on the B-side. Pre-order your copy here.

About the song, vocalist Nic Offer commented: "We've always wanted to write an Xmas song, but wanted it to be good enough and not just something like 'it's a disco christmas' or whatever. It had to be a good song to start with. We came up with this groove and it just felt Christmassy to us. Hopefully, you'll see fit to play at holiday dance parties for years to come."
