Watch: Jordan Dean Unveils New Single/Video "Feeling Strange"

Cleveland indie rock/alt singer/songwritter Jordan Dean has unveiled his new single "Feeling Strange", alongside an accompanying music video.

With influences from across the pond in the UK, Jordan cites Jamie T, The Kooks and Arctic Monkeys as some of his main influences.

About his music and song writing, Jordan says: “When I first started song writing, I really wanted to be able to control a room with just an acoustic guitar. However, as I got older and started hanging around local music venues, meeting other musicians, and coming to appreciate great bands, I shifted my focus to sounding more like the bands that I fell in love with so much.”

The song is out now, grab it here and watch/listen below.

Watch: Wet Leg Premiere New Single/Video "Ur Mum"

Isle of Wight post punk/alt duo Wet Leg (Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers) have premiered the video for their new single “Ur Mum”.

The song is taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut album, out this Friday, April 8 through Domino Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Teasdale says this new track, something swirling in a casual storm of indie-pop and post-punk, is inspired by an ex-boyfriend. “I was pretty angry at the way things had gone in this particular dynamic,” she says. “It’s just a diss song I wrote to make myself feel better. It worked.” It also includes a primal scream unleashed by Teasdale — her “longest and loudest scream” — that clocks in at an impressive 11.2 seconds.

The video was directed by Lava La Rue who said: “The ‘Ur Mum’ video was all about bringing the viewer into the Wet Leg world — sprinkling details throughout the visual that not only reference at least four songs off the album but also plenty of inside jokes within the band, too. Artistically it shows where the aesthetic of American indie films like Napoleon Dynamite fit perfectly in the scape of rural British settings — this concept first came to me when the band took me to IOW for the first time — I saw the connection and it all clicked into place.”
