New Entry: Color Palette Unleash Double Single "River / Lazy Lovers"

Washington, DC indie rock/dream pop/indie-psych band Color Palette (led by Jay Nemeye) have unleashed their new double single "River" / "Lazy Lovers".

Nemeye words: "Me + Kyle (and Joanna + Kate) went to a cabin in a remote ass part of Michigan last summer. We brought a few guitars + other small pieces of gear with us - and we ended up writing and recording demos for 8 songs. “River” and “Lazy Lovers” were part of that batch. After we fleshed them out back in DC, Abby laid down some killer backing vocals / harmonies. Nico did an awesome job mastering, and Navid absolutely slayed the cover art. We think these songs have a super summery / dreamy vibe to them - and it felt appropriate to release them together, the summer after they were originally written. Whenever I listen to these songs, I’m always transported back to that old cozy cabin on the bank of the Michigamme river."

The song is taken from their forthcoming new album "THE ALCHEMIST'S EUPHORIA", set to be released on August 5th via Columbia Records. Pre-order your copy here.

“It is me telling myself that it is going to be okay” Serge said of the track. “It was me seeing myself in those few weeks when everything kicked off. It’s the future me saying to that person: ‘This is shit, but don’t worry, it will get better.’ So having a song about talking to yourself is universal, I think. We all have to find a way to deal with the complications, the mess and the mortality of life.”

Moses are a genre-fluid proverbial rollercoaster, but can't stop creating punk-infused, neurovision pop tuned, classic rock. Their new single, produced by Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studio, is a punky dancefloor shout-along injection of energy to light these darker days.

Maybe you'd have to be mad about your dreams to be an unsigned, DIY band who have come through the pandemic, battling dystopia and delusion to keep aiming for the stars, because you still believe that your band have something special.

New Entry: Big Orange Drop New Single "Mum Says I'm Okay"

Perth indie rock/alt band Big Orange have dropped their new single "Mum Says I'm Okay".

‘Mum Says I’m Okay’ fires up with an all-out alt-rock guitar riff, quickly joined by resounding drums as Daniel Davis’ vocals give off a slight Brit-rock tinge. Seeped in a passionate optimism for wanting the best out of life, the distinctively Big Orange chorus arrives in all of its hook-filled glory, bringing a rousing rock flavour to wonderfully relatable lyrics.

The message behind ‘Mum Says I’m Okay’ is simple yet powerful - block out the haters and do what’s right for you. Basically, keep going, you’re doing great.

“I think everyone with a passion can relate to these lyrics," bandmate Emma Adams adds.

"Daniel showed me this track a few months ago and I dug the shit outta it. It's a slow burn with a superbly hooky chorus when it hits.”
