Watch: Jennifer Touch Premieres New Single/Video "Attic"

Berlin-based dark wave/electronic artist Jennifer Touch has premiered the video for her new single single "Attic".

The song is taken from her long-awaited debut album ‘Behind the Wall’ set to be released on April 24th via FatCat Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Jennifers' words: "Attic is about a time when was a small child and my parents had thrown parties in the attic, dancing the night away listening to their favourite krautrock songs. They were GDR flower-power children, forced to live in a repressed society, behind this wall. The song just came out of me like a laughter or a tear and I realized why I make music. And where it comes from. It comes from my childhood in East Germany, from that attic."

The video was directed by Steve Glashier. Watch it below.

Lithics Announce New LP 'Tower of Age', Share New Single/Video "Hands"

Portland, OR experimental/minimalist/punk band Lithics have announced the release of their third studio album 'Tower of Age'.

The follow -up to 2018's Mating Surfaces, will be released on June 5th via Trouble In Mind Records. Pre-order your copy here.

“Tower of Age” bristles with invention, wedging lyrical Dadaism into right angles of rhythmic minimalism. This is music in ellipses. A circular communication and a fusion of decades worth of musical insight into a singular refraction of thought & sound. Guitars plunk and scratch, and rhythms pulse and syncopate tightly wound around an imagist's philosophy to "use absolutely no word that does not contribute to the presentation." The band's austere approach to composition and wordplay elevates them above and beyond bands seeking similar sounds; it's not that they use less; it's HOW they use less.

The band have also shared the video for the album's lead single "Hands".  Check out both the tracklist and video below.

The Magic Gang Announced New LP 'Death of the Party', Stream "What Have You Got To Lose"

Brighton indie rock/pop band The Magic Gang have announced the release of their second studio album 'Death of the Party'.

The follow-up to their 2018 self-titled debut, was recorded in Atlanta with the Grammy-winning producer Ben H. Allen, and will be out on May 15th. Pre-order your copy here.

The quartet approached the album with two objectives in mind. They aimed to broaden the scope of their harmony-rich, melodically focused pop. And inspired by Lou Reed, Alex Turner and especially Jonathan Richman they wanted to take a more observational lyrical approach.

The stories they tell reflect the experiences of many of their early-twentysomething contemporaries. They explore anxieties about money, relationships and the future, but also the fun moments that they use to escape from such issues. Two songs – Jack Kaye’s ‘Make A Sound’ and Kristian Smith’s title track – best encapsulate their flair for a narrative, with two radically different perspectives on a New Year’s Eve party. Meanwhile, the album closer ‘(The World) Outside My Door’ explores Jack’s guilt at writing music while the Extinction Rebellion protests were hitting the streets.

The album also finds The Magic Gang evolving their sound without losing what people loved them for in the first place. There are elements of disco in ‘Take Back The Track’ and ‘Make A Sound’, ‘Gonna Bounce Back’ hits somewhere between slacker rock and post-punk, while the piano, strings and vocal harmonies on ‘I Am Sunshine’ recalls their love of Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys.

Check out the album's tracklist and listen to their new single "What Have You Got To Lose", below.

02. Think
03. Make a Sound
