New Entry: Foals Unleash New Single "2AM"

Oxford UK indie rockers Foals have unleashed their new single "2AM".

The song is taken from their forthcoming new album 'Life Is Yours', which will be released later this Summer. Get it here.

Frontman Yannis Philippakis comments on the track: "Musically ‘2am’ is one of the poppiest songs we’ve ever written. It’s about repetitive cycles of destructive behaviour, which I think lots of people can relate to, and certainly it’s an expression of something that I struggle with. There’s something cathartic about expressing that feeling to this upbeat music that’s got a sense of release and the hope of resolution."

"The lyrics tap into the idea of trying to wake up after the fever dream and terrible nightmare of the last 18 months. We really wanted to revel in the power of rhythm and music and what that brings to your body, heart and soul. It’s an absolute banger of a track and feels joyous and full of light to us."

New Entry: Allegories Release New Single "Constant"

Hamilton, ON electronic-pop duo Allegories (comprised of Adam Bentley and Jordan Mitchell) have released their new single "Constant".

The song is taken from their forthcoming sophomore album 'Endless', their first album in 14 years, set for release on April 29 through Hidden Pony Records. Get it here.

"Constant," a vocally led steadily, pulsating piece of indie electronic music, is what the duo call a "timid diss track to oneself and all that you love." Revolving around its refrain yet constantly exploring new vocal modulations and synth tones, "Constant" wants to be that endorphin rush, that effervescent dopamine surge surrounding you.

Condensing several decades of synth-pop classics – from New Order's "Temptation" to The Knife's "Heartbeats" – into three-and-a-half minutes of bliss, the opening "Constant" wraps its loving arms around you like a molly-addled finance bro having a spiritual epiphany in the muddy fields of Glastonbury.

Speaking about the new single and EP, the band say: “Where ‘Awake and Hungry’ doubled as a diary of the band’s formative months and encapsulation of our live show, ‘Human and Kind’ is a projection of our ambition, and our desire to push ourselves through what we might previously have perceived as the ceiling of possibility for four players. The release is at once introspective and extroverted: it attempts to be a dynamic interrogation of grief and growth.”

Watch: Eades Unleash "Delusion Spree" Music Video

Leeds garage rock/new wave/post-punk band Eades have unleashed the video for their latest single "Delusion Spree".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from  their highly-anticipated debut album 'Delusion Spree', set to be released on March 4th 2022 on Heist or Hit. Pre-order your copy here.

From the band: “’Delusion Spree’ was a very special song for the band when writing the album, finishing the song felt like a turning point when we finally knew how we wanted the album to sound, and the direction we were headed in lyrically and sonically. It kind of opened the floodgates for the rest of the tunes!"

“Thematically it summed up the disillusionment and confusion we all felt in our early twenties, trying to build a life for ourselves whilst the world around us seemed to be falling apart. Two years on I think we all feel quite differently towards the world and we’ve learnt to be a lot more positive as our hard work over the last couple years has started to pay off. Although at the time I think it’s safe to say we were all feeling pretty lost.”

Watch: Crows Unveil New Single/Video "Room 156"

London post-punk/psych band Crows have unveiled the video for their new single "Room 156".

The song is taken from their highly-anticipated second album 'Beware Believers', which will be out on April 1st via Bad Vibrations Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Speaking about it, frontman James Cox says: "I used to be quite obsessed with True Crime for a long time and this song was kind of born out of researching H.H Holmes and the World Trades Hotel in the 1860s where he would murder people staying at his hotel (informally called ‘The Murder Castle'). I also got quite obsessed with a faith healer from the early 1900s called Reverend Major Jealous Divine and reading transcripts of his old sermons, so ‘Room 156’ is basically just a weird amalgamation of mad shit I read about."
