New Entry: Astari Nite Release New Single "Lovesick"

Miami post punk/dark wave band Astari Nite have released their new single "Lovesick".

The song was produced by Rees Bridges (Dirty Vegas, Pete Doherty and Tears for Fears), and mastered by Emily Lazar "The Lodge" who has worked with such legendary acts as David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Foo Fighters and Sonic Youth. Buy your copy here.

About the track, the band's lead vocalist Mychael Ghost, explains: "Lovesick is about rejoicing in the memory of those who have passed on in our lives, whether it is someone we know and or admire. I'd like to think of it as a Eulogy or an anthem for saying goodbye."

At the time we made the video, we didn't even know we’d be working with Flying Nun! We were just big fans. Ryan Dyck of Hockey Dad Records did the cinematography, and the video features cameos from our recording engineer Jordan Koop, “Curly Courtney” (Hugo Noriega), and members of our friends bands Dead Soft, B-Lines, Dead Ghosts, Woolworm , Flyin’, Nervous Operator, Needles//Pins, plus vehicle cameos from our old van “the courtneymobile”, Courtneys convertible, and Macy’s van with the mushroom window, which is basically famous for appearing in most Vancouver music videos. Sleaford Mods Announce New Album "English Tapas"

Nottingham indie rock/punk duo Sleaford Mods (aka Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn) have announced details of their next album called 'English Tapas'.

The LP features 12 new tracks and will be out on March 3rd via Rough Trade Records. It was recorded at Steve Mackey’s (Pulp) West Heath Garage studios in London. Pre-order your copy here.

About the record's title, Williamson says: "Andrew walked into some random pub and saw "English Tapas" scrawled on the menu board. Underneath this beautiful coupling of words were it's components, half a scotch egg, cup of chips, pickle and a mini pork pie" It says everything about this fucking place. The Jesus and Mary Chain Announce New Album 'Damage and Joy', Their First in 18 Years

Scottish legends The Jesus and Mary Chain have announced they will release their new album titled 'Damage and Joy', on March 24 via AD/Warner Music.

The band's first album since 1998’s 'Munki', was recorded with legendary producer Youth (Killing Joke co-founder Martin Glover, who also contributed bass), and features performances from the band’s touring drummer Brian Young and former Lush bassist Phil King.

The album's first single "Amputation" is scheduled to premiere today.
