Gengahr Release Surprise EP 'Tired Eyes'

London indie rock/psych-pop four-piece Gengahr have released a surprise 3-track EP titled 'Tired Eyes'.

The EP includes two previously unheard tracks "Loki" and "Fade To Black", recorded during sessions for their debut album 'A Dream Outside'. It was a process that has also led them to a new creative partner in producer/mixer Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, The War On Drugs, Animal Collective) who worked with the band on lead track ‘Tired Eyes’.

About the work with the revered producer, frontman Felix Bushe said: "We have been huge admirers of Nicholas Vernhes and all the incredible records he has produced and recorded. It was a real dream come true to find that he was a fan of what we were doing and be given the opportunity to work together and a song of ours."

Next month Gengahr head out on tour, and they're also set to release an expanded deluxe version of 'A Dream Outside' on 30th September. The debut originally came out in June this year.

In a statement, producer David Gilmour said: "The Endless River has as its starting point the music that came from the 1993 Division Bell sessions. We listened to over 30 hours of the three of us playing together and selected the music we wanted to work for the new album."

Mason added, "The Endless River is a tribute to Rick. I think this record is a good way of recognizing a lot of what he does and how his playing was at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. Listening back to the sessions, it really brought home to me what a special player he was."

Pink Floyd To Release 'The Endless River', Their First Record in 20 Years

British music heavyweights Pink Floyd are set to release a new record called 'The Endless River' in October.

According to a tweet from Polly Samson, the wife of singer-guitarist David Gilmour, the follow up to their last full length 'The Division Bell', is based on a 1994 recording session with the late Richard Wright, which began during sessions for The Division Bell. A representative for Gilmour confirmed the release of the album to Rolling Stone.

The record, which will not involved Roger Waters, who left the band after 1983's The Final Cut, will consist entirely of previously unreleased tracks, though a tracklist has not yet been announced.

The news has been also confirmed in a Facebook post by backing singer Durga McBroom-Hudson, who has toured with the band.

"YES. THERE IS A NEW PINK FLOYD ALBUM COMING OUT. AND I'M ON IT. And there was much rejoicing," she wrote.

Zulu Winter Reveal Details Of New Album 'Stutter'

London indie rock five piece Zulu Winter have revealed more details for their highly anticipated new album 'Stutter', which is  due for release on July 21 via Fierce Panda.

The follow-up to their 2012 debut album 'Language', is a collection of studio and home recordings the band "didn't want to fester on a hard drive somewhere", 'Stutter' - as the title may or may not suggest – has evolved into a celebration of these never- (and almost never EVER-) released songs.

According to the press release, "‘Stutter’ is: ten songs breaks all known mini-album length rules, for a start. For a follow-up three of these tunes reached the stage of recorded completion in the studio - we'll leave you to guess which ones - while the other seven tracks were ostensibly angelic demos, musical ghosts looking for a dignified burial. Not for nothing did we want to call this record 'Worked In Progress'."

Two days ago the band revealed the album's first taste with the song "Heavy Rain" and its accompanied video, and also announced it will be their last release as ZW. Yesterday (June 5), they confirmed via their Facebook page, that they have decided that it's time to try out some new projects.

The post reads: Hello all. We realise we've been a little quiet recently. We've been doing a lot of thinking and talking and after nearly 15 years of playing in the same band have decided that it's time to try out some new projects. There's no love lost and we'll still be writing together in various forms but for the moment it won't be as Zulu Winter.

We want to say thanks to everyone that supported us over the years. It's been long and hard but mainly it's been fun and musical. Although that's it for the moment who knows what will happen in the future.
Big Love
Us.

Tracklisting:
01. Trigger
02. Games
03. Heavy Rain
04. Feel Love
05. Other Man
06. Need You Onside
07. Silence Is Golden
08. The Drift
09. Let Sleep Close Your Eyes
10. Bodies

Watch: Detachments Share Music Video For New Single "The Promenade"

London based post punk band Detachments have shared the video for their excellent new single "The Promenade".

We've been playing a demo version of the song since 2012, now the band is officially releasing the studio version of the single today April 14 via Polvo Records. They're currently in the studio working on new material, and will release a new EP titled 'EndGame' by the end of May.

In a recent interview talking about the track, frontman Bastien Marshal said: "It was actually in response to a film that I had watched set in L.A. Which is weird because then the song led me there…Some weird cosmic order stuff ha!"

"It was almost a stream of consciousness- the lyrical points. I’m from a seaside town in the UK so I have a strong connection with the sea and the promenade and there was a parallel with that in L.A too. Some North East coastal references, but also American culture." He added.
