Watch: Inhaler Unleash Music Video For "When It Breaks"

Dublin rock n roll four-piece Inhaler have unleashed the video for their recent single "When It Breaks".

The song is part of our current playlist and is out now via Polydor Records. Grab it here

The band's words: “We wrote the song in the last couple of months. Over lockdown we were floating around the instrumental demo, it was dark but also pretty hopeful sounding. When we went back to the studio over the summer and really got to put our heads together again, we felt like we had to write something about what was going on and how we felt about it.

“Coming off tour into lockdown was a huge adjustment for us after we had just got used to life on the tour. At first, it was a welcome break but pretty soon we were dying to get back to any festival or any gig where we could get our fix! The lyrics and the music communicate the anxiousness of how we were all feeling and still are now a couple months later. It’s definitely the most politically-driven song we’ve released so far. It’s our interpretation of this strange and imperfect world we’ve come to live in. Things are gonna change and we are gonna be there when they do.”

New Entry: Datarock Share New Single "Tick Tock"

Norwegian post-punk art rockers Datarock have shared their new single "Tick Tock".

The song, mixed by the Grammy winning legend Steve Dub (Moby, Chemical Brothers, New Order, Underworld, The Prodigy) and mastered by the pioneer Mike Marsh (Calvin Harris, Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Depeche Mode, Bjork, Oasis), is out now out on YAP Records. Get your copy here.

'Tick Tock' is one of the new songs we ended up writing & producing during the Norwegian COVID-19 lockdown - coincidentally kicking in at the exact time we were supposed to tour & celebrate the 15 year anniversary for our 2005 debut 'DATAROCK DATAROCK' (printed on vinyl for the first time ever - as limited edition translucent, orange 12 inch for Record Store Day 2020).

Immersing ourselves in the joyful work we did 15 years ago - and at the same time trying to cope with the new (ab)normal - we ended up producing a song somewhat tied in with the post-punk & indie-dance from our 2005 debut. This time though part affected by the intense seriousness of the ongoing pandemic, part by the BLM movement and the global reactions to police brutality, the political awakening among even the very young, and parts by the polarizing rhetorics & nature of the upcoming (un)presidential US election, 'Tick Tock' revolve around the dire need for everyone living in the US to please vote so the world can hopefully move on in a better direction after November 3rd.

For the ones who don't care about lyrics 'Tick Tock' is the sound of desperately trying to enjoy ourselves in the darkest of moments; joy as an act of resistance...

Watch: DMA'S Reveal Music Video For "Round & Around"

Aussie jangle pop/indie rock trio DMA'S have revealed the video for their latest single "Round & Around".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their album 'The Glow', released back in July via I Oh You Records. Get your copy here.

‘Round & Around’ is the song that best bridges the gap between the band’s forward-facing sound and their love for Britpop, as it progresses from jangly indie guitars into a full-throttle rush of energy. O’Dell’s vocals capture the melancholy of waking up on a Sunday morning and not knowing where life is taking you, yet his power and poise is immediately uplifting.

The ‘Round & Around’ video explores the band’s roots in Newtown, Sydney. It features a mix of new and archive footage of the band in their local environment and includes clips of them performing on the roof of The Hotel Marlborough. The video was directed by Steve Lattuca.

The band commented, "Around the world stadiums, arenas and venues still lie empty, missing the people that bring them alive. Here’s our new music video for ‘Round & Around’ on the big screen at Goodison Park.”
