Watch: POND Unleash New Single/Video "Hang a Cross On Me"

Australian psychedelic-pop/rock band POND have unleashed the video for their new single "Hang a Cross On Me".

The song is taken from the deluxe edition of their latest album '9', which will be out on May 20 via Spinning Top Records, featuring 4 new tracks. Pre-order your copy here.

“Hang A Cross On Me was made infinitely cooler by the return of Cowboy John - musician, poet, fashion icon, Poon's Head Studio regular, legend. We got Cowboy to feature on Hobo Rocket back in the day. In both songs he insisted on improvising his own lyrics and on only doing one take, and both, of course, were perfect. He meditates on love, life, the universe and everything with his signature fantastical surrealism and cosmic wonder. It's always a pleasure working with him. He is incredibly rare and brilliant and we love him,” says frontman Nick Allbrook.

Watch: Graveyard Club Unveil New Single/Video "Halloween"

Minneapolis indie/synth/dream pop band Graveyard Club have unveiled the video for their new single "Halloween".

The song is taken from their forthcoming fourth album 'Moonflower', which will be out on June 17th. Pre-order it here.

“It’s kind of amazing that Graveyard Club went this long without naming a song ‘Halloween,’” the band’s Matthew Schufman observes. “A lot of the words to this were inspired by the Heaven’s Gate cult. My wife Lauren and I got pretty into the HBO documentary during lockdown. Every now and again, people mention to me that my singing reminds them of Bono from U2, and I never really agreed until I listened back to the takes at the end of this song.”

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever Premiere New Single "Dive Deep"

Australia soft punk/indie rock band Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have premiered their new single "Dive Deep".

The song is taken from their upcoming third studio album 'Endless Rooms', which will be released this Friday, May 6 via Sub Pop Records and Ivy League Records. Pre-order your copy here.

'Dive Deep' features a slow-burn rhythm and an enormous lead guitar hook. “This is a simple song of devotion,” says Tom Russo. “It’s about if you are going to give in to love, you need to go all in, and accept that you have no control in the matter. It began as a home recording during lockdown. I recorded the guide vocals and guitars with my new baby strapped to my chest. When we could finally get together to play it, Joe White came up with the perfect lead guitar tone. He was given full license to wail, and did so.. I remember sitting by the fire, looking up at the stars, and hearing the guitar echoing all around the valley."

New Entry: Delights Share New Single "Tender"

Manchester indie rock/pop four-piece Delights have shared their new single "Tender".

Recently signed to indie label Modern Sky, Manchester based guitar band Delights formed in 2017 while at sixth form together. Adam Maxwell (Vocals), Ben Kirkland (Bass Guitar) and Ben Squires (Lead Guitar) enlisted Leo Willis (Drums) to complete the bands line-up, releasing their first demos shortly after. 2018 saw the band release a number of singles as they began to attract a growing following to their shows around the country, embarking on several UK tours. Delights continued to release singles and most recently the EP ‘In My Life’ in 2021 followed by '1989' in 2022, quickly proving to be one the bands most successful releases yet. Following a run of packed headline shows including at Manchester's iconic venues The Deaf Institute and Gorilla, they aim to keep pushing themselves both creatively and as a live outfit.

The band draw their inspirations from an eclectic catalogue of music, influenced both by what their parents played to them growing up and by their own musical discoveries. Merging these influences into a blend of bedroom pop with hints of 70's psychedelic music found the band quickly picking up praise from multiple outlets.

Watch: Crows Air Music Video For "Closer Still"

London post-punk/psych band Crows have aired the video for their latest single "Closer Still".

The song is taken from their sophomore album 'Beware Believers', released last month (April 1st) via Bad Vibrations Records. Grab your copy here.

Speaking about it, frontman James Cox says: “‘Closer Still’ was written about the fit-for-work scandals that kept happening where the Department for Work & Pensions were deeming people fit for work when they obviously weren’t able to, taking away what little support they received from the state in an attempt to save on expenditure. It really highlighted our government’s contempt for the vulnerable. People whose daily lives were incredibly difficult.”
