Watch: Sham Family Drop New Single/Video "This Blue Mob"

Canadian post punk band Sham Family have dropped the video for their new single "This Blue Mob".

The song is taken from their forthcoming debut EP 'Sham Family', which will be available on January 19th, 2022 through Wavy Haze Records. Pre-order your copy here.

This BLue Mo is an incendiary introduction, a takedown of the role of the police within society.

“This project has always kind of been my baby that I was always working on because I always needed to be working on some sort of music when I wasn’t working in other bands, and it’s gone through so many stages of its life,” says frontman Kory Ross.

“It started as just a four-track cassette-recorder wall-of-noise shoegaze project. Then it was gonna be this industrial-noise side-project thing that I just could not wait to unleash upon the world.”

Speaking about it, the band said: “Juggernaut is the Force hidden behind the appearance of quietness, as being in the eye of an invisible tornado. Is the Force driving us to discover faraway worlds, also inside our own souls. Watch: Sam Fender Premieres "Spit Of You" Video Starring Stephen Graham

Newcastle indie rock musician Sam Fender has premiered the video for his latest single "Spit Of You" starring British actor Stephen Graham (This Is England, Line Of Duty).

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from his upcoming second studio album 'Seventeen Going Under', out this Friday, October 8th through Interscope Records. Pre-order your copy here.

About the video, Sam says:“Stephen Graham is genuinely one of the best actors this country has ever seen, and such a lovely bloke. I’m fucking so buzzing about it, it’s so beast! I was out of my comfort zone but it was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. Thanks so much to Phil Barantini (Director) for making this beauty come to life.”

Of the song Sam said: “This is one of my favourite songs on the new record, it’s a song about boys and their dads. It’s based around my own relationship with my old man, and how we both struggle as blokes to communicate the way we feel to each other without it becoming a stand off. It’s about how the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as I get further in to my twenties i see so much of myself in him, especially when it comes to being stubborn. The second half of the song talks about seeing him with my grandma when she passed away, and how I saw him as a son, and how that moment reminded me to make the most of my time with him. If anything, it is a declaration of love for him."

The song is taken from the limited edition green 7” single that was released as part of Record Store Day 2021 alongside the single “Peak Bleak”. Get it here.

“Clarion Call" sees the band further exploring the outer reaches of art-rock and includes a contribution from late guitarist Steven Tyson, as lead-singer Daniel Hyndman explains: “It’s one that nearly snuck onto Lines Redacted and the last tune Ty had a hand in writing some of the guitars. Can’t remember what it’s about to be honest just like the phrase, nice little tune though.”
