Watch: Hallan Unleash Visuals For "Sich Übergeben"

Portsmouth indie rock/alt/post punk band Hallan have unveiled the video for their latest single "Sich Übergeben".

The song is part of our current playlist and came out on June 14 through Nice Swan Records. Get it here.

From the band : “A father hiding behind a screen, a family watching the Queen’s jubilee and a wife leaving her unloving husband for a new life in Spain. We’ve seen all of these people and we know them too.”

"Sich Übergeben (translating to “to vomit”) deals with our British tendencies to spew forth from our gullets, unloading our ill-informed and rather unwanted opinions onto others, the interwebs and beyond. From our living room thrones we strategize and glamourise, acting upon misinformation through hypocritical means. It’s not too long before spewing becomes physical, and suddenly a father figure spews from his plane upon the foreign sunnyland soil, covering the precious ground in British vomit, clutching a pint in one hand and his health-card in the other. His alien son looks on. ‘Who is this man and who is my father?’”

Tijuana Panthers Share New Single/Video "Quantum Entenmann's"

Long Beach art rock/alt band Tijuana Panthers have shared the video for their new single "Quantum Entenmann's".

The song is taken from their sixth studio album 'Halfway to Eighty', out today, June 24 via Innovative Leisure. Grab your copy here.

“I feel like this was our most relaxed process yet,” says vocalist/bassist Daniel Michicoff of the LP, an album whose title serves as a sly embrace of getting older, with a little bit of the Panthers’ trademark sense of humor sprinkled in there for good measure. It’s a brotherhood that’s only gotten more instinctual over time, and lately that second-nature approach has found each member taking on a more forward role in crafting their own individual songs, which the trio then works out together before hitting the studio.

Halfway to Eighty is an embrace of much more than just a band. It’s a statement of dedication to the calling of music—to sticking with making art as long as you want to, age be damned. “You know what would make me just go, ‘Oh, let’s just quit,’” says guitarist/vocalist Chad Wachtel, recalling a recent raucous show in Los Angeles, “is if we didn’t have that reception anymore. The fans keep me going.”

“Not to get all spiritual about it,” adds Michicoff, “but when we were younger, we played really hard for nobody, and now the fans do all the work for us. They have the fun and we just kind of rock out, and it’s nice. It’s cool to sit back and play the songs and watch. They’re putting on a show for us.”

Poison Point Announces New LP 'Poisoned Gloves' Stream Title Track

French coldwave/darkwave/post punk artist Poison Point has announce the release of his new studio album 'Poisoned Gloves'.

The nine-track record was composed, produced & mixed by Poison Pints and will be out on September 2. Pre-order your copy here.

Poison Points words:  This is kind of a special one for me as I’m going back to work alone on this project. As many things happened music wise on the road from the creation of Poison Point, from Post-Punk / minimal wave to Ebm and technoish vibes this one is I guess deeply close to all my influences and very personal as you might noticed if you pay attention to the lyrics or just read it as I’ll share every words for once.

Apart from the emotional talk, I’ve decided to do it as a very limited box set of screen printed items.

First reason, the vinyl situation with the pressing plant is going crazy regarding money and delay, so I’ve chosen to do something way more personal and unique.

Check out the album;'s tracklist and listen to its title track below.

Poisoned Gloves Tracklisting:
1. Voidance
2. Poisoned Gloves
3. Fallen Hearts
4. Every Two Nights
5. Blank Rearview
6. Ordinary Madness
7. Crimson Skyline
8. The Lost Wind
9. A Place To Lay Down

Watch: Soft Set Release New Single/Video "Diamond"

Canadian dream pop/indie rock/shoegaze duo Soft Set have released their new single "Diamond", alongside an accompanying music video.

The song is taken from their upcoming debut album 'Still Life', set to be released later this summer. Get it here

Mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive) at SPS Mastering studio in the UK, the fast-paced, dark and brooding track was inspired by a true crime podcast.

“We heard of this story of a boy who killed his mother and then himself in Jefferson Township, NJ, in the late 80s and the whole story was just so bizarre,” says Soft Set’s James Gray. “He seemed to be a good kid and all of that changed within a matter of months leading up to the tragic night when everything changed. It’s a fascinating story and there’s a great podcast called ‘The Devil Within’ that explores what happened and what possibly drove this boy to do what he did.

De Lux Announce Details of New Album 'Do You Need A Release?'

Los Angeles based post-disco/dance-punk duo De Lux have revealed details of their forthcoming fourth studio album ‘Do You Need A Release?’.

Set to be released on Sept 23rd via via Innovative Leisure, Do You Need A Release? Is De Lux at their poppiest, their prettiest, danciest, but also their most abrasive. The record is built on an uncomfortable bed of tension which when released is immediately satisfying in unpredictable and surprising ways. Pre-order your copy here.

Founding members Sean Guerin and Isaac Franco invited their live band to record to tape at Jonny Bell’s Jazzcat Studio in Long Beach, CA. While De Lux has always been able to write immediately danceable and quirky pop songs with a strong dose of wit, these recordings get the sonic boost they deserve to match the quality and camaraderie of their intense and acclaimed live performances.

Sean says that the record is filled with questions and not answers, but each riddle is its own answer as pseudo philosophical as that can sound… His lyrics are at once filled with uncertainty and affirmation. The irony is that the grooves are as solid as they’ve ever been and the band is pushing themselves harder than they ever have. Striving to make something danceable and beautiful and important. De Lux matters because they make music to dance to and be inspired by—they exist to ask us the questions we’re often too afraid to move our bodies to. That may sound hyperbolic but their ambitions are not an exaggeration.

Check out the album's tracklist and re-visit the video for their latest single "New Summers", below.
