New Entry: Astari Nite Drop New Single "Capulet Loves Montague"

Miami post punk/dark wave band Astari Nite have dropped their new single "Capulet Loves Montague".

The song is out today (Jan 16) via Negative Gain in North America and Danse Macabre Records in Europe, and is taken from the upcoming album 'Here Lies', which will be out soon.

“Capulet Loves Montague tells the tale of heartbreak and woe. How two people can fall in love but ultimately will be their undoing.” says frontman Mychael. “Lyrically, “Capulet Loves Montague” came to life while my 11-year young best friend and I were fooling around with crayons on a rainy evening. Perhaps it was the colors that made it clear, a nursery rhyme was being created. A feeling of innocence came over me when the words “Christmas trees are frozen spiders, Cats are made from snow, terrified by what I think of, petrified in love” were written. I’m obsessed with silliness, which is often mistaken for my sadness, especially when it comes to storytelling.” He adds.

Watch: Art d'Ecco Reveals New Single "I’ll Never Give You Up"

British Columbia glam-rocker Art d'Ecco has revealed the video for new single "I’ll Never Give You Up".

The song is out today (Jan 16) through Paper Bag Records. Grab your copy here.

“Sonically it’s another ode to the early ’80s,” he shares, “tracked with analogue synths and live drumming (courtesy of Jeff Mitchelmore from Gold & Youth), we recorded with producer Colin Stewart at his Hive Studios last summer.” It’s a beat-heavy track as reminiscent of The Human League as it is of contemporaries Drab Majesty, marked by ambiguously nostalgic lyrics. “I honestly can’t remember what it’s about lyrically—a ghost from the past? The pursuit of times that were, or could have been?”

The video was directed by Kira Clavell. Check out below.

New Entry: COIN Share New Single "Youuu"

Nashville-based alt-pop trio COIN have shared their new single "Youuu".

The song is taken from their upcoming third studio album 'Dreamland', out on February 21. PRe-order your copy here.

From the band: "We began writing it in the middle of a drought — in California & in our creative process. For weeks, it seemed we were just spinning our wheels, waiting for the sun to come. Overlooking the mountains, I realized the sun is always up. The thing you’ve been patiently searching for may be right in front of you, just positioned behind your own clouded perception. We wish to control everything before we simply choose to notice anything. I’m still learning, but I don’t want to waste my time trying to find something special, only to realize I was holding it all along."
