New Entry: Loma Drop New Single "Relay Runner"

TX/NYC new project Loma, comprised of Jonathan Meiburg, best known as the singer of Shearwater, and Emily Cross and Dan Duszynski of Cross Record, have their new single "Relay Runner".

The song is taken from their upcoming self-titled debut album, set to arrive on February 16th via Sub Pop. Pre-order your copy here.

About the track, Jonathan Meiburg said: "’Relay Runner’ was the happiest accident on the record. We discovered it when we wired up a tremolo pedal the wrong way, and got this funny, stuttering loop – and then we built a whole song around that sound. The last thing we did in the mix was erase the loop, which had gone from inspiring the song to ruining it! But it made sense that what was left underneath was a song about how to escape from a sealed room."

New Entry: The New Division Air New Single "Fader"

LA-based new wave/synthpop/electronic artist John Glenn Kunkel aka The New Division has aired his new single "Fader".

About the track, he said: “I wrote ‘Fader’ after having a dream about a film I’d seen when I was just a kid. I don’t remember what the film’s name was but I recall the imagery vividly and decided to write a song about it. I’ve been searching for that film for years and hopefully one day will find it, but until then the song and my memory will have to suffice.”

The song is the title track on an upcoming EP, have a listen below.
