Watch: Villagers Unleash Music Video For "Summer's Song"

Dublin indie pop/folk band Villagers have unleashed an animated video for their new single "Summer's Song".

Featuring a chorus of six flugelhorns, “Summer’s Song” was written and produced by Conor O’Brien and mixed by the legendary Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, Flaming Lips, MGMT). Buy it here.

In Conor’s words: “Summer's Song is the closest I'll ever get to writing a pure pop song. I just had to roll with it and I'm glad I did; it was really just an excuse to make the horns sound like sunbeams. Boy it's fun to play live. I can't quite believe we managed to get the magical touch of Dave Fridmann in on the mix”.

The video was directed by Joseph May and Patricio Bauzá. Check out below.

Watch: Mothers Reveal Music Video For "PINK"

Philadelphia experimental/alt/indie folk band Mothers have revealed the video for their newest single "PINK".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their forthcoming second album 'Render Another Ugly Method,' available September 7th via ANTI-Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Kristine Leschper, songwriter and founding member of the project, describes the collection as “an assemblage of personal vignettes and imagined scenarios that examines consent, escape of the body, power and powerlessness, and the act of making.”

About the song and the clip, she explains: “Pink” deals with the passage of time. It describes a series of memories within cars — cars of my childhood, recent past, and present – and subsequent feelings of childlike removal and helplessness. The video aims to reciprocate these three vignettes of idling, through limited actions and minimalist set design divided into three parts.

It was directed by Jake Lazovick and Richard Phillip Smith. Check out below.

New Entry: Early Ghost Unveil New Single "Devil’s Got Me Now"

UK psych rock/folk band Early Ghost have unveiled their new psychedelic single "Devil's Got Me Now".

About the track, bandmember Mike O'Malley said: "When we started writing this song, I think half of us secretly wanted it to be a Stones 'Let It Bleed' outtake and the other half wanted it to be a Led Zeppelin III outtake. I like to think we met somewhere in the middle.

Lyrically the song details unshakeable issues with the idea of sleeping, bouts of paranoia and problems with the personal association that sleep equals death. This song is facing up to that a bit".

The single will be released on March 23, have a listen below.

Former Bluetones Frontman Mark Morriss Reveals New Video For "This Is the Lie (And That's the Truth)"

Mark Morriss, singer/songwriter who famously made his name fronting English indie The Bluetones (disbanded in 2011), has revealed a new video for his track "This Is the Lie (And That's the Truth)", taken from his new solo EP of the same name.

The EP was released last week (December 6) through Acid Jazz Records. You can get your copy of the EP here

According to Morriss, the album title was inspired by a rather unpleasant revelation: "The album title refers to that moment when you’ve just turned off the light and everything remains semi-lit for a split second. It’s a revelation of a bad thing, rather than a good thing."
