Watch: The Oceans Release New Single/Video "Young & High"

Danish noise pop/nu-gaze/new wave band The Oceans have released the video for their new single "Young & High".

Riotous guitars, insistent beats, and captivating melodies: this is the essence of The Oceans. Formed in 2014 by Copenhagen multi-instrumentalists Dan Joe & Linus Valdemar, the duo sounds like their city feels – a pulsing, paradoxical sea of chaos, noise, and serenity

The outfit’s Dan Joe shares, “It portrays several different young women we have met through life gathered in one woman. A free soul who is young and doesn’t worry about everything like us.” Exemplified brilliantly in rejuvenating lyrics such as, “She’s young / And on a high / The stars will lead her through the night / She’s young / With an urge to fly / She feels like she’ll never die”.

New Entry: Bella Lune "Up The Down Escalator (The Chameleons Cover)"

Phoenix, AZ dreampop/darkwave band & dark alternative DJ duo Bella Lune have dropped their cover version of  The Chameleons classic "Up The Down Escalator".

From the band: "This song, originally by The Chameleons in 1983, is so ahead of it's time lyrically, and very appropriate for the times that we are living in now. Our version was initially released on the 2021 Stranger Times tribute album by Coitus Interruptus Productions, featuring Bestial Mouths, Sol Sirenn, and many other talented artists. Mark Burgess of The Chameleons said "Wow Escalator is GREAT". This particular version was remixed for official release in 2022 by Fuchsia and Hurley. We hope you enjoy it!"

Watch: Veda Rays Unleash "Coursing Through Veins/ Days Bleed" Video

Brooklyn post punk/dream pop/indie rock band Veda Rays have unleashed the video for their latest single "Coursing Through Veins/ Days Bleed".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their album 'Crucial Fictions' (included in our 100 Best Albums of 2021 list), released in October 2021. Get your copy here.

"The slow-burning track traces an uncommon arc as it seems to depart from its form two thirds of the way through, letting the road lead where it may. The rest of the song from that point rides out much like the night driving scenes of its visual accompaniment. That is not the only place in which the imagery seems to sync with the lyrics and music. The jittery wallpaper pattern in the intro fittingly captures the feeling of subliminal chaos and dread percolating just below the calm surface. Luminous trails from road signs, street lamps, lightning and stars reflect through a rain-pelted windshield, rending veils of second sight as Stark sings of “astral landscapes woven from suns.”

English Summer Announces 'Dénouement: The Art of English Summer'

Australian jangle pop/indie pop musician Caleb Carr aka English Summer has announced the release of his new collection 'Denouement: The Art of English Summer'

New Entry: Jesse D'Kora Unveils New Single "any other night"

UK-based dream pop/lo-fi/indie artist Jesse D'Kora (aka Dan Parker from Juliper Sky and Affairs) has unveiled his new single "any other night".

From Jesse: Inspired by closure and the mechanics of a disintegrating situation, any other night is a sad but also optimistic song. Musically it's got all the things you would expect from me, jangly guitars, pulsing drums, washy synths and a bitesize structure. I’d say this is a tune for a road trip, a song for winding the windows down, relaxing and taking in the views!
