New Entry: Peacock Method Premiere New Single "Slowly"

Manchester indie disco/pop band Peacock Method have premiered their new single "Slowly".

Emerging from the UK’s lockdown having formed from the ashes of two previous Manchester indie bands, the intention of Peacock Method’s debut single "I Don’t Mind" was to inject much needed colour into the city’s post-pandemic nightlife. They succeeded. Establishing not only themselves as one of the city’s brightest prospects, but also in doing their own small part to help get the Northern Quarter back to its pre-pandemic prime.

Now the band are back with their second single ‘Slowly’. Taking a different narrative approach to their debut, it was described by the band as illustrating “an indifferent approach to casual sex and a tongue in cheek comment on the sensations of a one night stand. Its about living life too quickly and switching up presumptive roles of genders in the bedroom.”

A fitting subject matter for a band to whom gendered aesthetics mean very little, yet it’s also a frenetic and funk-driven track that proves exactly as to why the band are such an exciting prospect amidst a sea of parker-sporting mediocrity.

Peacock Method are: Adam - lead vocals/guitar/keys/production, Lucas - bass/backing vocals and Rich - lead guitar/backing vocals

New Entry: NO Releases New Single "Pills"

Canadian minimal synth/coldwave/post punk artist No (aka Antonio Pavao Pereira) has released his new single "Pills".

The song is out now through Tonn Recordings and is taken from his upcoming album.

No brings us synth infused with lyricism mapped over the dark undercurrent of an intensively driving beat. From vocals suffused with a compelling nihilistic charge, No draws the listener into narratives with a somber core. This is synth unprocessed and raw edged, with an immediacy that goes straight to the heart of the matter.

New Entry: Possible Oceans Airs New Single "Dotted Lines"

Los Angeles based indie rock solo project Possible Oceans (aka Trevor O’Neill) has aired his new single "Dotted Lines".

The song is out now and is taken from his forthcoming new album 'Death by Misadventure', set to be released on July 29th. Get it here

From Trevor: “This tune came about almost by accident when we were working on another song in the studio. On a personal level, I was thinking about my own struggle to find balance as an artist trying to function in a world that doesn’t really encourage that sort of thing. It often feels like you’re expected to split yourself into two different people. As I continued to work on it, the meaning broadened and it became more about the ways humans divide ourselves along completely made up lines, often with disastrous results. It’s also just fun to dance to in a dark ‘let’s watch it all burn down’ kind of way.”
