Watch: Starcrawler Reveal New Song/Video "Goodtime Girl"

Los Angeles rock n' roll band Starcrawler have revealed their new single "Goodtime Girl", alongside an accompanying music video.

The song features on the soundtrack to 'Dark Nights: Death Metal', an epic DC Comics miniseries featuring Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Harley Quinn, Swamp Thing, the Batman Who Laughs, Superboy-Prime, and many others. Get it here.

“When people listen to Goodtime Girl, I want them to feel powerful. I want a girl who might normally feel like she’s awkward or insecure to put her headphones on and feel like she can accomplish anything,” Arrow de Wilde said of the song. “Like she’s the hottest and the baddest bitch in the world, because she is. Goodtime girl is about realizing your power and taking complete control of that. I wish I had a song like this when I was in middle or high school, if I did I may have been a lot more confident with myself at the time.”

The video, featuring cameos from Danny Trejo and David Hasselhoff was directed by Gilbert Trejo. Watch it below.

Watch: The Third Sound Share "This Is The Only Way I Know"

Berlin-based neo-psych/post-punk/new wave band The Third Sound (led by The Brian Jonestown Massacre guitarist Hákon Aðalsteinsson) have shared the video for their new single "This Is The Only Way I Know".

The song is taken from their upcoming fifth studio album 'First Light', which will be available on August 27th through Fuzz Club. Pre-order your copy here.

Replete with jangling gothic-psychedelic guitars and Hakon’s dour baritone vocal, new single ‘This Is The Only Way I Know’ deals in a shadowy new wave sound that’ doused in a jet-black romanticism. Hákon says of the track: “I haven’t done a lot of love songs in the past but this could be seen as one. It’s about when you find something that you believe in and that becomes the only thing that matters to you. Kind of like the first line from the song That’s How I Got To Memphis by Tom T. Hall: ‘If you love somebody enough, you follow wherever they go’.”

New Entry: Pozi Premiere New Single "Detainer Man"

London punk/post punk band Pozi have premiered their new single "Detainer Man".

The song is taken from their upcoming new EP 'Typing' which will be out on 29th October via PRAH Recordings. Pre-order your copy here.

“This song is written from the perspective of a brainwashed police officer, preprogrammed to inflict abuse upon a person not conforming to the system. Robotic self orders instruct the officer to detain people.”

Detainer Man is a surging rush of thick bass lines, fidgety string squalls and frantic call and response vocals. It’s a queasy but exhilarating ride, complimenting the group’s intentionally minimalist sonic palette, as Burroughs and Brook take on the role of a pre-programmed police officer dishing out abuse. It’s inspiration could’ve been drawn from any number of protests held over the past year.

Watch: Nice Biscuit Air Music Video For "Passing Over"

Brisbane garage pop/psych band Nice Biscuit have aired the video for their latest single "Passing Over".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their forthcoming new EP 'Passing Over', set to be released in late August. Get it here

From the band: “Passing over was really fun for us to work on. After writing darker and higher energy music in Create Simulate, we really wanted to dial it back a bit and focus on making music that was a bit more groovy and easy to dance to. Coincidently, this was when we were starting to play shows again as restrictions were easing. This song matched our excitement to be playing and sharing music again with everyone. I guess we really just wanted to dance with everyone again.”
