A Place To Bury Strangers Drop “My Head Is Bleeding” New Video

Brooklyn NY, post punk/psych band A Place To Bury Strangers have dropped the video for their latest single "Love Reaches Out".

The song is taken from their new album 'See Through You', released last  month (February 4) via Dedstrange. Grab your copy here.

Wispy synthesizers and lacerating chemical burn guitars engage in a heated call-and-response while Oliver Ackermann extends a desperate plea for sanity to whichever metaphysical entity might be listening. “This song is about internally begging to a God when you might not necessarily believe in one,” says Ackermann. “It’s that moment where there’s just a sliver of hope that anything in your head might connect you with the Universe and actually make a change.” Right away, “My Head is Bleeding” gushes from the speakers with pummeling drums and whirring, anxious electronics—preparing listeners for one deafening blunt-force chorus after another. In an accompanying music video from director Travis Stevens (Jakob’s Wife, Girl On The Third Floor), flesh and blood commingle in a pileup of heaving, mysterious biomass as a mechanical womb gives birth to an oily, ectoplasmic form..." “The entire album rips, " says Stevens. "but there's a plea to transform suffering into joy in this song that I really sparked to. In order to emulate the raw unpredictability of an APTBS performance, I tried to create a similar magical combination of flesh, emotion, intuition and technology."

New Entry: Mazy Unveil New Single "Interstella"

Aussie indie rock/alt band Mazy have unveiled their new single "Interstella".

From the band: “This one has become the band's favourite track. We were given a lecture by Kim Moyes (The Presets) on how bad our cheap vocoder sound was on this, before he played us various daft punk songs to show us what a good one sounds like. We kept it anyway. It's also Kim's favourite now but he still hates the vocoder. Interstella explores themes of time, isolation and human connection, all through a celestial lens. It also bangs in zero gravity.”

The song is out now through Sweat It Out, get it here and take a listen below.

Watch: This Daze Share New Single/Video "Cigarette Smile"

Norwegian indie/garage rock band This Daze have shared the video for their new single "Cigarette Smile".

The song is out today, March 11th via Listen Loud Records/AWAL. Get it here.

Speaking about it, the band said: “‘Cigarette Smile’ is the colourful person outside the pub with a cig between their lips. The song portrays adolescent themes of distant love together with the figurative and literal fear of meeting each other. The lyric “pick me up in your painted life” represents the wish of getting swept up by the romanticised picture you make upon meeting someone for the first time. If this image is flawed or genuine it does not matter for young adults taking chances. This song for us encapsulates the feelings of youth and being young. We feel that both the lyrics, the attitude of our performances and the urgency of the song reflects being young.”

Watch: Jesse D'Kora Airs New Single/Video "you might not be"

UK-based dream pop/lo-fi/indie artist Jesse D'Kora (aka Dan Parker from Juliper Sky and Affairs) has aired his new single "you might not be".

Speking about it, D'Kora syas: "Inspired by a documentary on The Talking Heads, this release is a little different to the others. I wanted to make something a bit weird and incorporate ideas and sounds from other genres and styles.

Lyrically it's inspired, like many of my other songs, about getting older, particularly the context is in view of having a conversation with a younger version of yourself. Often it’s easy to focus on the regrets and the mistakes and think how you would do things differently if it all could be redone, but ultimately without the mistakes the knowledge to do what's right so we are ultimately bound to follow the same path.

I would definitely say this is a mood song for driving, so get the car running!"
