Spector To Release New Album 'Moth Boys' in August

London-based indie rock band Spector have announced plans to release their sophomore album titled 'Moth Boys', on 21st August via Fiction Records. 

The album features previously unveiled singles "Decade of Decay", "All the Sad Young Men" and "Kyoto Garden". It is now available for pre-order here.

The artwork is a picture of now defunct night club Rechenzentrum (Berlin, 2009) from Von Bleiben - a photographic series documenting the 'morning after' by German artists André Giesemann and Daniel Schulz.

Greek electro pop duo Marsheaux have dropped the video for their cover version of Depeche Mode's "Monument".

The song is taken from their cover album 'A Broken Frame', released earlier this year via Undo Records. Get it here.

About the track the duo said: "Monument was the first track that we worked on, when we decided to go on with the A Broken Frame project. It was a song that we both loved and we were really curious how it would turn out. We believe that behind Martin Gore’s lyrics there is a hidden political background that is really similar with the crisis that we are experience in Greece. We really think that Monument is one of our best covers, and a great track for someone to get to know our A Broken Frame project.”

Swim Deep Reveal Details Of New Album 'Mothers'

British indie pop/psychedelic band Swim Deep have revealed full details of their sophomore album titled 'Mothers'.

The follow-up to 2013 debut 'Where The Heaven Are We', will be out on September 18 through Chess Club/RCA. A press release states that the now fivepiece (they have added multi-instrumentalist James Balmont), recorded the album in both London and Brussels.

About the record frontman Austin Williams says: "We've made a record, we've worked hard and we're dead proud of it. We've called it Mothers as a nod to the true creators of the universe. We couldn't be more enthusiastic about showing you this...."

Brisbane indie rock/pop band The Creases have revealed their new single "Point".

The single will be out this Friday (June 26) via Liberation Music OZ.

In  an interview, speaking about the track frontman Joe Agius said: "Point was one of the first songs I ever wrote and is mostly about my relationship with my hometown and people from there. It's been through quite a few different stylistic forms over the years (from having very dreamy shoegaze vibes to sounding like a soundtrack to an arcade driving game) and in the end fell really naturally into something in-between that I now can't imagine in any other way. This song for us is a mix of old and new parts of ourselves and a refreshing new beginning and introduction to everything we have been working on over the past year."

Liverpool indie rock/psych band The Vryll Society have premiered their brilliant new single "Deep Blue Skies".

The song will be available on 17th July, and is "a tapestry of guitars, velvet vocals and unexpected changes of David Axelrod proportions, landing into a 'Melody Nelson' esque ending of jazz tainted rhythm."

Mercury Rev Announce New Album 'The Light In You Details', Air "The Queen Of Swans"

Buffalo alt-rock/experimental/ band Mercury Rev have announced plans to released their eighth LP titled 'The Light In You' on September 18 through Bella Union. 

The album, is their first in seven years (it follows 2008's Snowflake Midnight), and it is also the first to be recorded without producer Dave Fridmann behind the controls, instead it has been produced by co-leaders Jonathan Donahue and Grasshopper.  

Donahue spoke about the seven-year gap between records in a statement. “It was one of those otherworldly life sequences, when everything you think is solid turns molten,” he said. “But also, when something is worth saying, it can take a long time to say it, rather than just blurt it out.”

The band have also debuted the album's first single "The Queen Of Swans". Check out the album's tracklist, and listen to the song below.

Heaters Announce New Album 'Holy Water Pool', Stream "Kamikaze"

Grand Rapids, MI, surf rock/psych trio Heaters have announced they will released their new full-length titled 'Holy Water Pool' on September 25 via Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records

According to  the press release, "moments of 'Holy Water Pool' threaten to turn into a wave pool, holy or not, given Heaters almost incongruous surf-city leanings. Sonically, this is more than the sum of its parts (and more than the sum of second-hand Ventures records, too) in the way it colors the band’s sound, with their relatively defined palette expanding to a depth that’s deceptively broad and ultimately breathtaking."  Pre-order your copy here.

The band are also streaming the leas single "Kamikaze", which "is the suitably deadly opener, as much an invocation of the ghosts of reverb past as it is a song."
