New Entry: BODEGA Release New Single "THROWN"

New York art-rock/punk band BODEGA have released their new single "THROWN".

The song is taken from their forthcoming second full-length album 'Broken Equipment', which will be out on March 11 2022 via WYR? Pre-order your copy here.

The band's Ben Hozie explains: "‘Thrown’ was an attempt at a self-portrait track. The older I get the less I trust my own thoughts and perceptions of self  ——> I realise most of my values and judgments come from the records, films, books, and advertisements I have consumed my whole life. Recognising this ‘thrown-ness,’ while slightly disturbing, has been a source of inspiration for my creative mind. If the mind can only output what has been presented —> provide it with the proper input. You can remake yourself entirely at the drop of a (top)hat. The inputs I selected for this lyric: James Joyce and Bob Dylan. The music, to me, is a synthesis of many of the stylistic motifs our group has developed over the past few years: syncopated bass over a slow-shifting sea of guitar harmonics, violent guitar spams with machine influenced but human-played drums; plus male/female vox alternating between spoken text raps and melody."

New Entry: Eades Reveal New Single "Delusion Spree"

Leeds garage rock/new wave//post-punk band Eades have revealed their new single "Delusion Spree".

The song is taken from  their highly-anticipated debut album 'Delusion Spree', set to be released on March 4th 2022 on Heist or Hit. Pre-order your copy here.

From the band: “’Delusion Spree’ was a very special song for the band when writing the album, finishing the song felt like a turning point when we finally knew how we wanted the album to sound, and the direction we were headed in lyrically and sonically. It kind of opened the floodgates for the rest of the tunes!"

“Thematically it summed up the disillusionment and confusion we all felt in our early twenties, trying to build a life for ourselves whilst the world around us seemed to be falling apart. Two years on I think we all feel quite differently towards the world and we’ve learnt to be a lot more positive as our hard work over the last couple years has started to pay off. Although at the time I think it’s safe to say we were all feeling pretty lost.”

Watch: Planet Drop New Single/Video "Information Overload"

Sydney indie rock/pop band Planet have dropped the video for their new single "Information Overload".

The song is taken from their highly-anticipated debut album 'Information Overload', set to arrive on March 11, 2022. Pre-order your copy here.

An indie pop booster, ‘Information Overload’ is about there being so much stuff going on in the world that it can be too much to even process thoughts at times.

The visuals dip in between an efficiency clip and news products from the past, matching the previous/ present vibes of the lyrics themselves.

Frontaman Matty Took says: ” We desired the video for ‘Information Overload’ to be as extreme and erratic as humanly possible so the concept was to make 3 different clips and include impacted news clipping and advertisements. The end product was shooting these clips predicted on old TV/broadcast screens – rather clearly representing the title of the tune, however discreetly highlighting how when there is a lot going on you can’t believe at all or do anything with clearness.”
