Watch: Kaputt Unveil New Single/Video "Gone West"

Glasgow post-punk band Kaputt have unveiled the video for their new single "Gone West".

The song is out today (Nov 22) via Upset The Rhythm and is the first taste of their forthcoming new album. Get it here.

A restless riot of sax breaks, fidgeting drums and guitar riffage that continually swims against the tide. Cal from Kaputt shared that “Gone West is about the migration of affluence, when industry clashed with the living standards of the wealthy. The smoke blows East, so the money moves West.” Such choice lyrical concerns and their pointed address are set off against ‘Gone West’s needling impulse to dance its way into your brain.

Watch: Molly Nilsson Reveals New Single/Video "Pompeii"

Swedish-born Berlin-based synth pop artist Molly Nilsson has revealed the video for her new single "Pompeii".

The song is taken from her forthcoming album 'Extreme', which will be out on January 15th 2022 via Dark Skies Association and Night School Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Written and recorded during lockdown, Pompeii symbolises the yearning lovers feel to live forever in a perfect moment in time in the face of impending doom. The desire to be frozen in an embrace, but to also escape it.  “I’d say I love you but then I catch my breath, because whatever I love I always love it to death…” the lyrics of Pompeii are heavy with a transcendent sadness, an aching poetry that cuts to the truth like the best Leonard Cohen lines. Sung by Molly Nilsson, however, they’re laced with an uplifting love lit by the dying embers of a romance.

New Entry: VERO Share New Single "BEG!"

Swedish alt-pop trio VERO have shared their new single "BEG!".

Julia Boman, Clara Gyökeres and Amanda Eddestål experiment with genres and references, challenging the idea of what a modern band is supposed to be - this time with artistic freedom.

These experiments have resulted in a forthcoming debut album, due for worldwide release in Spring 2022, but first comes a brand new 7'' featuring new single 'BEG!' and a brilliant reimagining of Shame’s “Concrete”, two tracks showcasing the band’s move into indie rock territory, while retaining their pop chops. The 7'' is out on January 14th, new single BEG! is out now . Get it here.

'REASONS TO BE ANXIOUS', is an all-too-relatable laundry list of the fight-or-flight triggers that frazzle our nervous systems, B-side 'BOY', dives deep into the cesspool of toxic masculinity and the repressed emotions that boys are socialised to deny, with disastrous outcomes for everyone.
