Holy Ship Releases "Hail Haze" Music Video

Stockholm based indie rock/psychedelic/shoegaze artist Jonatan Westh aka Holy Ship has released the video for his newest single "Hail Haze".

The song features as one of out Best Tracks of the Week and is out now via US label Declared Goods ahead of the full new EP 'Sun Macabre' out soon. Get it here.

‘Hail Haze’ is a driving rhythmic track blending shoegaze and fuzzy psych rock riffs, for a now signature sound that is Holy Ship.

For Holy Ship’s new single ‘Hail Haze’, Westh’s lyrical themes touch on breaking free of personal traps, how one navigates in a world that is being more and more polarized where it feels like things are moving backwords instead of progress. With roots of late 90’s electronic driven psych rock, and shoegaze, Westh’s ‘Hail Haze’ is a welcomed new rock energy.

Seasurfer Drop New/Single "jump to the stars feat. Ricardo Silva Veloso"

Hamburg noise pop/dream punk/shoegaze band Seasurfer have dropped the video for the new single "Jump to the Stars" featuring Portuguese producer and songwriter Ricardo Silva Veloso.

“The song connects the heritage of post-punk with the present, and the sonic symbiosis is, in my opinion, just perfect,” says Veloso. “The dynamic between different people with different opinions is the theme presented in the lyrics; it describes a perspective one should have about the world and the way it evolved to the standards we’re living in now.”

“I enjoy working with different singers, getting inspiration, and being in touch with new and international musicians,” says Knight. ‘This is an engine for the creative process, and also makes sure that I don’t stand still and get bored with myself. Ricardo sings totally relaxed and cool, and he fits so well!”.

Circa Waves Announce New LP 'Never Going Under', Stream "Do You Wanna Talk"

Liverpool indie rock four-piece Circa Waves have announced the release of their fifth studio album 'Never Going Under'.

The 11-track record will be out on January 13th, 2023 via Lower Third / PIAS, and sees the band continue to push themselves into new territories and effortlessly cement their place in the scene. Pre-order your copy here.

Speaking about the record, frontman Kieran Shudall says: “Never Going Under speaks to that uniquely modern phenomenon of genuinely not knowing what type of world our kids are going to find themselves in in 30 years. Physically, environmentally, politically we are completely in the unknown. That scares us all but ultimately we know we can never give up on the future because how can you? The songs on the album are written differently from the previous work we’ve put out. They are written from the perspective of my son and also from my own current experience of the climate today. Circa waves have always had a certain world view, but now it’s through that lens of being a father and still not knowing what the hell is going on. Never Going Under is a snapshot of the fear we all feel today and the resilience we will need to get through it.”

The band have also released the driving new single “Do You Wanna Talk”, an instantly infectious indie banger, DYWT is the perfect Circa Waves song – combining upbeat lyrical delivery with raucous, rousing instrumentation, culminating in a late contender for song of the summer. Accompanying the track is a video directed by the band’s own Joe Falconer, which offers an early insight into the visual identity of Never Going Under as a project.
