London-based psychedelic band TOY have premiered a new video for "As We Turn", off  their sophomore album 'Join The Dots', released in December 2013.

The song is part of our current playlist and will be released as a limited edition 12" single with the additional tracks 'Conductor (Tom Furse Extrapolation remix)' and a new version of the album track 'You Won't Be The Same', which was recorded for a Part Time Punks radio session on the band's last visit to LA. The download release also comes with the bonus of a Plank remix of 'It's Been So Long'.

Paris based post-punk/shoegaze four piece Cheri Cheri Jaguar have unleashed the video for their new single "Walk/Don't Walk".

The song is the first taste of their forthcoming debut EP 'Collapsing Vapor', which will be out on May 5 through their own label Pillow Talk. More info soon.

About the visuals, vocalist Sacha said in an interview: "When we were in New York, I have been filming everyday. Just like my grandfather did with his super 8 camera when he was traveling with his family. It was obvious with the walk through NYC. So I tried to marry those to memories. As far as Roswell is concerned, it's Alex idea. I think it’s coherent with a collage concept between fiction and reality, in the very fact of filming."

Sabina Sciubba, the singer of avant-garde electro-punk outfit Brazilian Girls, has shared the video for her latest single "Viva L'Amour".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from Sabina's debut solo album 'Toujours', released last month (March 23) on Naim Edge Records/Bar None Records. Grab your copy here.

The video was directed by British artist Oliver Clegg, who commented: "We filmed Sabina in her flat in Paris and then used to footage to create the backbone of the video. I met Sabina ten years ago at Nublu in the East Village, NYC when the Brazilian Girls were playing regularly on Sunday nights at the venue. I wanted the piece to be full of contrasts—humorous yet sincere, childlike yet sophisticated, direct yet enigmatic, The choice of drawing was part of this consistency of opposites: the desire to create dimension and conceptual spaces out of the simplest descriptive tool available, the line."

Kasabian Reveal New Album '48:13' Details, Share New Track "Eez-eh"

British indie rockers Kasabian have announced details of their long-awaited new album '48:13', which will be released on 9 June.

The total duration of the new album is of course 48 minutes and 13 seconds.

Speaking about the album, Tom Meighan said: "The new album, we just feel excited, it's like anything that's new, you build it up and work on it for so long. We went and recorded it in Richmond just before Christmas and we're massively excited. We took some time out, it's our fifth baby, we're more excited because we've stepped up a bit, stepped a lot up, actually." 

About the nature of the art and album, guitarist Sergio Pizzorno said: "We had the confidence to be more direct, more honest with this album. I started to strip away layers rather than to just keep adding."

Manic Street Preachers Reveal New Album Details, Air "Walk Me to the Bridge" Video

Welsh three-piece Manic Street Preachers have revealed full details for their forthcoming album 'Futurology'.

The band's twelfth studio album will be released on July 7, and according to the press release, 'Futurology' is "furious, propulsive and expansive, is the sound of the Manics at their very best - a record inspired by permanent revolution, modern art and Autobahns."

Album of the Week April 28/2014: Secret Colours 'Positive Distractions'

Our new Album of the Week is 'Positive Distractions', the new excellent record of Chicago-based space rock/pop band Secret Colours, out tomorrow (April 29). 

Self-proclaimed "bastard seed of ‘60s psychedelia and ‘90s Britpop bloodlines," the 4-piece band from Chicago, IL, have their influences rooted closer to the UK, they grew up listening to early 90's British music: Blur, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Oasis.  

The follow up to 2013's album 'Peach', sees the band growing up musically, taking a more mature route, and just like they describe their sounds, has lots of 60s psychedelic vibes tinged with Britpop sounds, such a kool combination. 

In an interview, talking about the new record, frontman Tommy Evans explains: "We recorded 12 songs in 11 days for 'Positive Distractions.' We worked fast. We didn't think about much. There wasn't too much experimenting. We just knew what we wanted to sound like. It was a strange experience for all of us because we were all so into it. We felt in the right place at the right time. It was the first Secret Colours record where it felt like a band. Previously, a lot of the guitar and song structure is was mostly me. On 'Positive Distractions' we all were working together and it's more rewarding I feel."

The band recently reunited for a Record Store Day 2014 release, are currently hard at work on material for a new LP with producer Brad Wood.

Directed by Gary Kordan, the black-and-white clip features the original band members (Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Jim Shapiro, and Steve Lack)  playing in the studio.

Watch: Detachments Share Music Video For New Single "The Promenade"

London based post punk band Detachments have shared the video for their excellent new single "The Promenade".

We've been playing a demo version of the song since 2012, now the band is officially releasing the studio version of the single today April 14 via Polvo Records. They're currently in the studio working on new material, and will release a new EP titled 'EndGame' by the end of May.

In a recent interview talking about the track, frontman Bastien Marshal said: "It was actually in response to a film that I had watched set in L.A. Which is weird because then the song led me there…Some weird cosmic order stuff ha!"

"It was almost a stream of consciousness- the lyrical points. I’m from a seaside town in the UK so I have a strong connection with the sea and the promenade and there was a parallel with that in L.A too. Some North East coastal references, but also American culture." He added.

Single of the Week April 14/2014: Model Aeroplanes "Innocent Love"

Our new Single of the Week is "Innocent Love", the new catchy tune by Scotland indie pop young four-piece Model Aeroplanes.

They're all just 18 years old and have been together as a band in various incarnations since they were 13 years old and now, as Model Aeroplanes, they share a desire to make "fun, fresh and honest music that you can drink cocktails to."
