The song is taken from their upcoming debut EP release for December 7 via Vallance Records. Pre-order your copy here.

Frontman Rory O’Connor said of the song: “is the sound of broken relationships that linger in the dust once the decision to break up becomes reality. It’s the emptiness of making that tough decision, the upside-down, gut-wrenching feeling of walking away from something that clearly doesn’t work anymore. Those urges that still pull heart strings when you see your ex-partner like a social media post, or ask you how you’re doing – and you realise they are still thinking about you even though they broke your heart.”

Watch: Absolutely Free Unleash Music Video For "Still Life"

Canadian astro-beat/psychedelic/avant-garde rock band Absolutely Free have unleashed the video for their brand new single "Still Life".

The song is part of our current playlist and is out today (Nov 15). Buy it here.

“Still Life” starts in a familiar universe and bubbles up into another. The shift illustrates an appetite for personal, political & stylistic change, boiling over. The song examines feelings of being worn down and halted by progress, stagnating both in society and individually. It is about breaking free from patterns of still life defined by cyclical, repeated forms of inaction, and predictable modes of conformity.

"We are so pleased to collaborate with Christina Battle on this video. Her series of animated gifs, 'the world is a distorted landscape', brings a wider perspective to our song. Today’s news can debilitate you. Christina’s unrelenting juxtaposition of rusted objects, fossils, and natural disasters makes individual problems seem insignificant in the face of millions of years and forces greater than humanity. That perspective can help assess what we can do as individuals to steer the ship to a better place.".
