New Entry: The Foreign Resort Share "Stand Back (feat. Anna Bouchard)"

Danish post-punk band The Foreign Resort have shared their cover version of Stevie Nicks' classic "Stand Back", featuring Anna Bouchard from Houston, TX, band Drowner.

THE STORY: "Back in 2011, Anna, made a cheeky statement in a conversation on Twitter that she would love to sing a duet with Mikkel. This was too good an opportunity for us to miss, so of course we jumped on the idea."

"We had already been working a bit on Stevie Nicks' "Stand Back" at that point, so we figured, why not turn the song into a duet?! All instruments and Mikkel's vocals were recorded in Copenhagen and Anna's vocals were recorded in Houston."

"We did however not keep it at a recording only. Attending SXSW 2012 in Austin, TX, we decided to perform the song live at two showcases - one of them the now infamously legendary Sweet Tea Pumpkin Pie showcase at Casa Chapala (ask us about it next time we meet!) The 2020 version has been re-mixed and remastered and might be a bit more new-wavey than the previous shoegazey version."
