Kaiser Chiefs Announce New LP 'Duck', Stream "Record Collection"
The album was recorded and mixed with producer Ben H. Allen, who previously collaborated with the band on 2014’s number one album Education, Education, Education & War, and will be released on July 26th through Polydor. Other production collaborators include and Iain Archer (Liam Gallagher, Snow Patrol) with additional mixing by Mike “Spike” Stent (U2, Ed Sheeran, Arcade Fire) who worked with Kaiser Chiefs on defining single Everyday I Love You Less and Less. Duck is the sound of one of the most successful British guitar bands of the millennium reclaiming the creative swagger that underpins their strongest work. It’s a record that harks back to the everyday explorations of their breakthrough early albums. “We wanted to do something that had a Kaiser Chiefs DNA but still try and do something different” says bassist Simon Rix. “It has the right spirit.”.

Kaiser Chiefs Announce New Album, Stream New Track "Misery Company"
Leeds indie rockers Kaiser Chiefs have announced they will release their fifth studio album titled 'Education, Education, Education & War' on March 31st UK/Europe and April 1st North America via Fiction Records.
The follow-up to 2011's 'The Future Is Medieval', is available now for pre-order here on both CD and vinyl formats. It was produced by Ben H. Allen III (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective), and recorded at The Maze Studio in Atlanta, Georgia.
It's the first studio album without the founding member/drummer Nick Hodgson, who left the band in December 2012. On 7 February they announced Vijay Mistry from the band Club Smith as Kaiser Chiefs new drummer.

Kaiser Chiefs Drummer/Songwriter Nick Hodgson Quits The Band
Kaiser Chiefs co-founder Nick Hodgson has announced that he has quit the band.
Hodgson revealed the news today (December 4) via Twitter posting: "I can confirm I have left Kaiser Chiefs after 15 spectacular years. I'm moving on. I wish the rest of the band the very best!"
Lead singer Ricky Wilson responded to the news writing: "The door is on the latch and the key under the mat. X"
Bass player Simon Rix also expressed his well wishes to Hodgson, tweeting: "I can exclusively confirm we will still be collaborating on pints in pubs."
Away from the band, Hodgson runs the Chewing Gum record label and owns the Chewdio record label where bands such as The Vaccines, Mark Ronson and Ryan Jarman have all recorded material. He has also written songs for Duran Duran and Shirley Bassey, working closely with DJ and producer Mark Ronson.

Kaiser Chiefs Worried About Future Of Guitar Bands
Kaiser Chiefs' Frontman Ricky Wilson gave a rather depressing depiction, stating that he is "not sure" if indie will survive. "Necessity is the mother of invention and there will always be music. Whether it will be a viable career for five guys with guitars I'm not sure at the moment but you know, they'll be there in a garage somewhere."
Simon did, however, point out that the music business is changing all the time, and he can't predict where things will turn next.
He said: "When he started [2008 album] 'Off With Their Heads' things like twitter didn't exist, things have moved on, when we did that, singles were sort of dying, then, now, singles are massive again and albums are on their way out.
"We just want people to hear the music, so it's about making it accessible to everyone. Change is good." They recently talked about the lack of attention given to the physical version of 'The Future Is Medieval'.
"The publicity around the 'choose your own version' overshadowed the CD so much that still no-one knows it's out" said Simon Rix.
