Watch: Child Seat Premiere New Single/Video "Burning"


Los Angeles indie pop/rock duo Child Seat, made up of Madeleine Mathews (MAWD) and Josiah Mazzaschi (Light FM, Bizou), have premiered their new single "Burning", and its accompanying music video ft. Jeff Schroeder.

The song is out today (May 18) now via Moonboot! Records and is taken from their forthcoming debut album set for release this Autumn, we have already heard the fist taste "Fever Dream". Get it here.

From the duo: ““Burning” refers to the 2021 Caldor wildfire that threatened Mathews’ hometown and wiped-out hundreds of thousands of acres of land that she’d hiked and traversed throughout her youth as well as a small nearby town. “Burning” is a reminder that life throws us curveballs, including losing the things we love most. Nothing is set in stone, and nothing lasts forever."

Hooveriii Announce New LP 'A Round of Applause', Stream "See"

Los Angeles psychedelic/space rock band Hooveriii have announced the release of their new studio album 'A Round of Applause'.

The -track record will be out on July 29 through The Reverberation Appreciation Society and is available for pre-order here.

Prior to delving into A Round of Applause, the band had stuck to a routine of issuing about two releases a year (including singles, live albums, etc.).  After the rise of a certain five-letter word that starts with a C, they realized that time really shouldn’t be taken for granted. Finding additional inspiration via Nick Cave, who once said that dabbling with new ideas continues to fuel his near-50-year career, the band decidedly took a different approach with their new album and gave themselves the freedom to explore in the studio.

Interpol Unleash Lyric Video For New Single "Fables"


New York indie rock/alt band Interpol have unleashed a lyric video for their new single "Fables".

The song is taken from their forthcoming seventh studio album 'The Other Side of Make-Believe', which will come out on July 15 via Matador Records. Pre-order your copy here.

“‘Fables’ features one of Daniel’s hottest licks,” Paul Banks said in a statement. “A breezy vocal with optimistic lyrics and a bouncy drum beat evocative of classic R&B with a nod to the golden age of hip hop. It’s a summer jam and a piece of music we are particularly proud of.”

NYC-based indie rock/post punk outfit London Plane have unveiled the video for their new single "Come Out of the Dark".

The song is taken from their long-awaited 'Bright Black' album, an 11-track offering set to release on June 17 via Declared Goods. Pre-order your copy here.

“Come Out of the Dark is a simple rejection of isolation and aloneness. Following months of quarantining, the song is a thinly veiled allusion to the pandemic and the social and political conflicts that have carved chasms both internally and externally. The video - depicting a stranded space traveler - is a metaphor for the desolation from which the country, the world, and perhaps you are emerging,” says David Mosey.

New Entry: Launder Shares New Single "Become (Feat. Soko)"


L.A dream pop/shoegaze musician John Cudlip aka Launder has shared his new single "Become" featuring French artist Soko.

The song is taken from his forthcoming debut full-length album 'Happening', set to be released on July 15 through Ghostly International. Pre-order your copy here.

Soko takes the lead vocal duties on "Become," which rides an interwoven bassline between gauzy guitars, both shimmering and shattered. "This is the most collaborative track on the record, and it's cool when that works out, I couldn't have made this song what it is by myself," adds Cudlip.

Bass and keys move together in a tight embrace, as a desperate croon brings the two closer still.
