New Entry: Bugeye Premiere New Single "Don't Stop"

London disco punk/riot grrrl band Bugeye have premiered their new single "Don't Stop".

The song will be out on February 28 via independent label Reckless. The band’s debut album, produced by Paul Tipler (Idlewild, Cable, LIINES, Placebo, Elastica) will be out later this year.

Speaking about the track, the band said: “Don’t Stop is about alcohol abuse and the cyclical state that goes hand in hand with this. It’s a downward spiral of fuck ups and promises that tomorrow will be different. It’s about the denial of evening having a problem in the first place and the pressure that society and the media put on us to don’t stop.”

It was produced by Paul Tipler (LIINES, Elastica, Sophie and the Giants). Stream it below.

Hinds Announce New LP 'The Prettiest Curse', Air New Single/Video "Good Bad Times"

Madrid garage/psych pop band Hinds have announced the release of their third studio album 'The Prettiest Curse'.

The follow-up to  2018's I Don't Run, was produced by Jenn Decilveo (Bat for Lashes, Anne-Marie)  in NY and will be out on April 3 via Mom + Pop / Lucky Number. Pre-order your copy here.

With “The Prettiest Curse” Hinds shrug off any remaining lo-fi accusations and unveil a widescreen beast of an album, not so much a shift as a quantum leap in their evolution as a band. This is a record positively bursting with life, with the band finally harnessing the full extent of their pop prowess and unleashing songs which sound bigger, bolder, and more complex than anything they have done before. Which isn’t to say they have turned their backs on being Hinds – quite the opposite in fact! Here, they double down on what, precisely, makes them so special – the bright melodies betraying heartbreaking themes of isolation and betrayal, the empowering, don’t mess with us all-girl gang glow - while going even further.

The band have also aired their new single and video "Good Bad Times", speaking about it, vocalist Cosial said: “you know that part in the movies when two people on a relationship are living complete opposite realities? when one thinks everything is great and the other one is about to drown? good bad times is the struggle of communication, time difference, distance.”
