Watch: Nation Of Language Unleash "The Wall & I" Music Video

Brooklyn post punk/new wave/synth-pop outfit Nation Of Language have unleashed the video for their newest single "The Wall & I"

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their highly-anticipated debut album 'Introduction, Presence', set to arrive on May 22. Pre-order your copy here.

Frontman ian Devaney's words: “The hardest part of the creative process for me are those moments when things don’t flow naturally at all, and you just have to sit and slug it out with your own brain, all the while knowing that you might spend hours mining your memories and working through feelings only to end up with nothing useable on the other side. In the time since writing “The Wall & I,” itself a product of many such fruitless hours, I have tried to make a mental adjustment to see the struggle itself as a kind of conceptual or performative dance — to make the conscious choice to spend a whole day locked in battle with my own aspirations wrestling against actual outcomes. As good as it feels to just sit down and knock a song out, there is a different level of satisfaction when you feel like you’ve bled a little bit and truly earned it.."

Watch: Beauty Sleep Unveil Lyric Video For "Lies"

Belfast indie pop/synth/dream pop trio Beauty Sleep have unveiled a lyric video for their latest single "Lies".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their debut album 'Be Kind', which came out in May 2019 via Quiet Arch Records. Get your copy here.

The band's words: "Social media can be amazing. Social media can also be divisive and make us feel like we're in competition with each other. This song is about that feeling. We wrote it for our album and it felt really true at the time, but now things are changing. With all that's going on it feels so wonderful to be able to connect with each other digitally. Social media can still be a tough place at times, but it definitely feels like some of the pretence has dropped. Long may that continue!"

"We were thinking about this change a lot this week, so we made a video for that song. It's called Lies off our debut album Be Kind. It was our FAVOURITE to play live before all this happened! Written (and half recorded) over a loop in a cottage in Culdaff, Inishowen. Same time as Rainbow Ballroom. Moog Model D, cowbell and vocals added in Belfast. Lead chorus synth was called “ghost” for its spookiness. A placeholder till we wrote something good. It stayed."
