Watch: The Lounge Society Drop New Single/Video "Burn The Heather"

Calder Valley based post punk/psych band The Lounge Society have dropped the video for their new single "Burn The Heather".

The song, produced by Dan Carey (Bat For Lashes, Fontaines D.C.), is out now through Speedy Wundergound. Get it here.

Speaking about it, the group say: “Burn the Heather’ is a song deeply rooted in where we come from. The lyrics are our interpretation of some of the darker aspects of where we live, and our personal reaction to them. Musically, ‘Burn the Heather’ is intended to be an adrenaline shot to the brain. We wanted this to be the second single all along. We don’t want to be just another post-punk band, and we knew Heather would keep people on their toes. Unlike a lot of our tracks, the guitars are quite minimal and the rhythm really carries it, and we think it works really well. We want to make people move.”

The video was directed and edited by Nick Farrimond. Watch below.

New Entry: Wet Tropics Unleash New Single/Video "Cool California"

Chicago-based indie punks Wet Tropics have unleashed the video for their new single "Cool California"

The song is taken from their upcoming new album 'Everybody Get In', set to arrive on November 27th. Pre-order your copy here.

Produced by Rejba, Matt Holmes, and Jeff Dean, the 9-track album, was recorded at The Echo Mill by Holmes, mixed by Dean at The Deanery, and mastered by Adam Stilson.

On the album, it's not uncommon for Wet Tropics to playfully occupy the same hazy reverb-soaked space as post-punk forbearers Psychedelic Furs and the angular, art-damaged rock bombast of Ty Segall, Osees, or Jacuzzi Boys in the course of a single three-minute foray. Although the band's sound may lean to the West Coast, they haven't eschewed their Midwest roots entirely. You'll get those pungent whiffs of Pixies' and The Jesus and Mary Chain's cool anthemic college rock color mixes here too!
