Watch: Deep Sea Arcade Air Music Video For New Single "Close To Me"

Australia indie rock/psych duo Deep Sea Arcade have aired the video for their new single "Close To Me".

The song is taken from their long-awaiting sophomore album 'Blacklight', which will be out tomorrow (26 October) through Long Player Records/Universal Music Australia. Get your copy here.

Deep Sea Arcade Announce New LP 'Blacklight', Stream "Some Of Us"

Australia indie rock/psych duo Deep Sea Arcade have announced the release of their long-awaiting sophomore album 'Blacklight'.

The follow-up to 2012's Outlands, includes their previously unveiled tracks "Learning To Fly" and "Outlow", it will be out on 26 October through Long Player Records/Universal Music Australia. Pre-order your copy here.

While some of the tracks on the forthcoming album are six years old, Nic McKenzie and Nick Weaver from the band have reportedly discovered a ukulele and paired up with producer Eric J, who has previously worked with Flume and Chet Faker, to embark in a new "funky and groovy and disco" direction.

Speaking about this new direction, singer and lyricist McKenzie said, "On the first album I’d always hide behind something and hide vulnerability, and it left me feeling detached... On this record I feel like I had the balls to actually go, no, I am vulnerable and I’m going to say things about being vulnerable and when I speak to the audience I am that person.”.

The band have also shared their new single "Some Of Us", take a listen below the album's tracklist.

Watch: Deep Sea Arcade Cover "A Girl Like You" (Edwyn Collins cover)

Australia indie rock/psych band Deep Sea Arcade have shared a video for their cover version of Edwyn Collins classic "A Girl Like You".

About hte cover they have posted: "Nick came over for dinner last night and we decided (while cooking) to do a quick cover of Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You. It was filmed and performed in 1 take with Nick playing 3 different instruments all at the same time."

Watch: Deep Sea Arcade Release New Video For "Black Cat"

Australian indie band Deep Sea Arcade have released the video for "Black Cat", the lead single of their upcoming sophomore album, which was was recorded and mixed by Dan Grech-Margueray (The Vaccines...), and will be out early next year.

Directed & Edited by Deep Sea Arcade, and is is a group collaboration by fans, friends, and other bands The Preatures, Ball Park Music, and Guineafowl.

Deep Sea Arcade Release New Single "Black Cat"

Australian indie band Deep Sea Arcade have just released their brand new single titled "Black Cat", out now through Chugg/MGM. 

It is the band's first new material since 2012's debut album Outlands, and is another ringing guitar-pop dispatch from the five boys, with singer Nic McKenzie staying airy and unruffled over the psych-washed backdrop. The song has been added to our current playlist.

The band have spent most of the last year living in the UK, and writing their second album which was recorded and mixed by Dan Grech-Margueray (The Vaccines...). The album will be out early next year, and "Black Cat" serves as the lead single.
