Dentist Air New Single "New Dress"

New Jersey surf punk/indie rock/lo-fi band Dentist have aired their new single "New Dress".

The song is taken from their new album 'Making A Scene', out today (September 2) through Cleopatra Records. Buy it here.

Making A Scene is easily this trio’s most accomplished, catchy and engaging album to date, filled with surf-inspired guitar lines, emotive vocals and pounding drums!

“‘New Dress’ is about trying hard to reach goals, but then wondering what’s the point?” explains the band’s bassist/vocalist Emily Bornemann  “The narrator is definitely a nihilist, but also believes that no matter how hard they try, it will never be good enough. Musically, we wanted the song to feel like a punk rock version of ‘Dancing in the Dark.'”

Tijuana Panthers Announce New LP 'Carpet Denim', Drop "Path of Totality" New Video

Long Beach garage pop/surf punk band Tijuana Panthers have announced the release of their new album 'Carpet Denim'.

The 14-track record will be out on July 12th via Innovative Leisure and sees the band combining their signature surf rock with new experimentations in sound. Pre-order your copy here.

Carpet Denim is the culmination of nearly three years of work and the band’s subconscious evolution into deeper, more personal places. Taking concepts that have long been percolating, this album is the musical version of a beachside, drop-top cruise -- punctuated by deeply human lyrics.

This album is the same garage-y Tijuana Panthers you love, but this time, they channel their unbridled energy into a moody maturation of their music.

The culmination of the band’s many years on the road and making noise, Carpet Denim falls deeper into their weird and wild tendencies (there’s even a synthesizer that makes an appearance). It’s inspired by everything, from politics to the guys’ personal lives, Haruki Murakami and Twin Peaks.

The band have also shared the video for their new single "Path of Totality", which is "about a close friend of the band’s who lost the fight against alcoholism."

Menace Beach Announce New LP 'Black Rainbow Sound', Stream Title Track Ft Brix Smith

Leeds noise-pop/surf punk duo Menace Beach have announced the release of the third studio album titled 'Black Rainbow Sound'.

The follow-up to 2017’s Lemon Memory, will be out on August 31st via Memphis Industries, and unlike their previous records, it came to life in the bands studio, where Liza Violet and Ryan Needham built dense late-night orchestrations from drum machines, synthesizers, loops and guitar noise, before being ripped apart and reimagined by the full Menace Beach cast at The Nave studio in Leeds with co-producer Matt Peel (Eagulls).

On Black Rainbow Sound, Menace Beach continue to explore their own unique aesthetic, venturing much further into a colourful world of bizzaro no-wave analogue synths and static drenched electronic euphoria, which they have been circling for some time.

"Liza has always made electronic music and has a very unique approach to what she creates on her synths, so I knew she’d do something magical if she took the reins in the studio. Turns out she was planning a subtle-yet-hostile takeover all along anyway."

Liza adds “There’s always been a bit of artistic push and pull between us on the balance of synth noise vs guitars noise and the guitars have previously always taken over, probably because we all know now how to make loud guitars sound really exciting in a room. But when we started writing this record I was feeling too much reality in the sound of a guitar and I really wanted to give something more this time. Once I had the sounds in my head I couldn’t really compromise."
