Franz Ferdinand's "Stand On The Horizon" Get Remixed By The Horrors' Tom Furse

Scottish indie rockers Franz Ferdinand will release "Stand On The Horizon", the sixth cut taken from last year's album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action', featuring some cool remixes.

The song is part of our current playlist and will be out on 28th July, including the Extrapolation mix by The Horrors' Tom Furse, an Extended mix in charge of Norwegian DJ/producer Todd Terje, and a cover of the track by Frankie & The Heartstrings.

"Stand On The Horizon" is inspired by Alex's time in Sunderland as a child, mentioning both the local Marsden Rock and South Shields Metro station.

"Ach, it's one of those optimistic pessimist's songs - as the North Sea sings "Come to me! Throw yourself to me!" all you can imagine is stepping across the horizon into a golden future while Marsden Rock collapses under the waves." - Alex Kapranos
