Philadelphia experimental/alt/indie folk band Mothers have revealed the video for their newest single "PINK".
The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their forthcoming second album 'Render Another Ugly Method,' available September 7th via ANTI-Records. Pre-order your copy here.
Kristine Leschper, songwriter and founding member of the project, describes the collection as “an assemblage of personal vignettes and imagined scenarios that examines consent, escape of the body, power and powerlessness, and the act of making.”
About the song and the clip, she explains: “Pink” deals with the passage of time. It describes a series of memories within cars — cars of my childhood, recent past, and present – and subsequent feelings of childlike removal and helplessness. The video aims to reciprocate these three vignettes of idling, through limited actions and minimalist set design divided into three parts.
It was directed by Jake Lazovick and Richard Phillip Smith. Check out below.
