Watch: Oscar Lang Unveils New Single/Video "Yeah!"

London-based indie/alternative artist Oscar Lang has unveiled the video for his latest single "Yeah!".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from his forthcoming debut album 'Chew The Scenery', which will be available on 16th July through Dirty Hit. Pre-order your copy here.

Speaking about it, Oscar explains: “This track’s about trying to impress someone, but really just boring them instead. It reminds me of telling my girlfriend about all the weird little things I find interesting and her not really giving a shit haha (It’s actually my girlfriend’s favourite track). I wanted to capture 90s old-school break-beats, mixed with a little bit of rock to keep it fun and vibey.”

Watch: Oscar Lang Unveils Music Video For "21st Century Hobby"

London-based indie/alternative artist Oscar Lang has unveiled the video for his latest single "21st Century Hobby".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from his forthcoming debut album 'Chew The Scenery', which will be available on 16th July through Dirty Hit. Pre-order your copy here.

“‘21st Century Hobby’ is a tune based on the idea of society’s obsession with sharing your life online and comparing yourself to other people,” Lang explains in a press release. “There was one point where I was spending 13 hours a week on social media, which equated to about a month every year. That was a really dark time for me – I always thought that it would never affect me, but it took some time to realise that it was subconsciously affecting my mental health.”

“With the ‘21st Century Hobby’ video,” he continued, “I wanted to bring to life the experience of scrolling endlessly on social media into physical characters dancing around me to show the chaos and over-the-top-ness of everyday online activity.”

New Entry: Oscar Lang Releases New Single "Are You Happy?"

London-based indie/alternative artist Oscar Lang has released his new single "Are You Happy?".

The song is taken from his forthcoming debut album 'Chew The Scenery', which will be available on 16th July through Dirty Hit. Pre-order your copy here.

Speaking about it Lang says: “I wrote this tune about a mate that was having a really hard time and I wanted to let them know that I was there for them. I think it’s important to reach out to friends and family when they’re not doing great. It can be hard though, trying not to be too overbearing but I feel like this song is a great way of telling someone that you care about them.”

Oscar Lang Announces Debut Album ‘Chew The Scenery’, Stream "Stuck"

London-based indie/alternative artist Oscar Lang has announced the release of his debut full-length album 'Chew The Scenery.'

The 13-track record will be available on 16th July through Dirty Hit. Pre-order your copy here.

Speaking about the album Lang says: “Over the past two years the sound of my music has changed a lot, from bedroom pop to rock. We recorded the album over a month up in Liverpool. It was a nice break away from the tedious lockdown in the UK as I got to spend a month away with my mates doing what I love. I think you can hear that built-up boredom being released on the record.”

About the new single he added: “‘Stuck’ is about the feeling of replaying embarrassing situations in your mind to the point where you feel overwhelmed with all the voices in your head,” he explains. “I spend a lot of the time re-hashing old experiences and often it means I’m a bit spaced out and can’t pay attention to things because I’m so distracted by my own thoughts. I wanted to express that chaos of all those voices running through my head down into a song.”
