Plastic Ivy Announces New LP 'Spots of Time', Shares "Too Deep for Tears"

Philadelphia minimal wave/electronic/cold wave artist Plastic Ivy has announced the released of her new album 'Spots of Time'.

The 8-track record will be out on 18 September 2020 via Kraftjerkz. Pre-order your copy here.

Spots of time is as much a lyrical treasure as it is an analog synth dream, brought to life through abundant melodies and arpeggiations, alluring vocals, and a somber emotional tone that courses through the veins of the album.

Plastic Ivy’s influences are wide ranging; sonically, the nod to cold wave, the new romantics, and early indie is clear. Lyrically, the album draws influence from William Wordsworth to historian Timothy Snyder to jazz composer Billy Strayhorn.

Watch: Void Vision Reveals Music Video For "Body Says"

Philadelphia-based minimal synth/electronic project Void Vision (headed by producer Shari Vari) has revealed the video for her newest single "Body Says".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from the upcoming album 'The Other' due later in 2019 through Mannequin Records.

The video was directed by Hanna Hamilton + Floor Eleven, and filmed in Philadelphia, is "a claustrophobic ode to physical and mental confines. Dark voguing, undulating bodies, DIY surgery and the increasing sensory stimulation compels the demonic watchers to become ravenous and bloodthirsty."

Philadelphia minimal wave/electronic/cold wave artist Plastic Ivy has dropped an infectious new track called "Exit Strategy".

The song features on the Mannequin Records first of a new serie of compilations under the 'Death of the Machines' serie, the dancefloor/experimental oriented side of the label, dedicated to new artists.

Watch: DUST Release Music Video For New Single "Feel It"

Brooklyn-based noise-pop techno outfit DUST have released the video for their brand new track "Feel It."

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their Feel It EP, which will be out next week (March 24th) through  on Mannequin Records. Get it here. 

According to director Wooje Kim, the visuals were inspired by the collective’s live performances (their last one was at the closing party for 285 Kent). Phrases Kim imagined, like “sticky milk, smoke, self-fetish, octopus, and raw meat,” materialized into theatrical visual gags and formed the basis for the video’s loose narrative. (Thump)

Dust To Release Onset of Decimation 12" EP in July

Brooklyn-based production duo DUST have announced that they will released Onset of Decimation 12" EP on July 14th via Mannequin Records.

Founded in 2012 by Sherburn and Barclay, DUST was originally a dark italo project. Soon Chambers and later Jellyfish were incorporated to enliven the dark magic with their sporadic vocals, and live energy. DUST released "Past Future," their first EP on Brooklyn’s Low Life Inc.

The 12” EP will be available on black vinyl (limited edition of 300 copies)
