Watch: Girls Names Release Music Video For "The New Life"

Belfast-based indie dark four-piece Girls Names have released the video for "The New Life" taken from their album of the same name, released back in February via Slumberland Records. The song is part of our current playlist.

The band will release a deluxe version of the album on 4th November, featuring 7 extra tracks.

The video was directed by Dan Tombs, who said: "The video is one continuous take of improvisation. Shot in an old industrial textile warehouse, filmed with a single static camera. The image was post processed and manipulated live in one take recorded to disc, using a combination of digital video processing and analogue hardware to create a fluid rendering of the movement of the music and the dance. The intention is to induce a hypnotic state that compliments the track and captivate an audience."

Our new SOTW is British indie rockers The Rifles brand new single "Heebie Jeebies".

The song is taken from the band's upcoming fourth studio album 'None The Wiser' on January 20th 2014 via Cooking Vinyl.

Their trademark Mod sound, rock and roll and timeless indie pop are all present and correct, but the band have broadened their musical palette, drawing influence from, in their own words, “Bob Dylan, Talking Heads, some Clash and as always – the Beatles.”
