New Entry: Teleman Reveal New Single "Sweet Morning"

London indie pop band Teleman have released a lyric video for their latest single "Sweet Morning".

The song is taken from their upcoming EP of the same name, produced by Joe Goddard and Al Doyle (Hot Chip) and released on 5th November. Pre-order it here.

‘Sweet Morning’ - spans from a melody summoned in a half awake state; “Summer 2020 I was lying on a beach in Italy half asleep when I rolled over and sung the melody for this song into my voice recorder. Then I rolled back over and forgot about it. Back in London I went through my voice notes and found this kind of mumbling with the sound of waves in the background..” 

The track combines glistening, pulsing electronics with an irresistible pop hook. “Somehow it’s got an uplifting vibe while also being kind of melancholy,” says Sanders. “Something I can’t seem to stop doing. The lyrics deal with common human desires - the need to be loved, to have fun, to be free. I love writing lyrics that everyone on earth can relate to, regardless of age, gender or race.”.

Teleman Announce New LP 'Family of Aliens', Stream New Single "Cactus"

London indie rock band Teleman have announced the release of their third studio album titled 'Family of Aliens'.

The follow-up to 2016's Brilliant Sanity, will be out on September 7, and features the previously unveiled song Submarine Life and their infectious new single "Cactus".

According to the press release, the record "is a fluid collection of glorious pop-songs fluent with new electronic textures and united by the sharp lyricism, buoyant guitars and instantaneous melodies that are synonymous with Teleman."

“We want to keep evolving and keep discovering. This band is one long journey for us, and we never want to stop developing and finding new ways of creating music. I'm always wanting to better what we've done before. To go deeper, to find something more beautiful, more catchy, more challenging, more interesting … just more.”

The song, produced by Oli Bayston (Boxed In), is taken from their upcoming new EP 'Fünf', set to be released on November 17. Pre-order your copy here.

"Repeater came together really quickly, we just set up and bashed it out", the band said. "Oli has an uncanny ability to make things sound kind of unhinged and mental while also making sure it’s all locked in and hitting hard. This came out sounding exactly as we wanted it to; wild and upbeat but kind of wrong.”

Teleman Announce New EP 'Fünf', Stream New Single "Bone China Face"

London indie rock band Teleman have announced they will release their new EP titled 'Fünf' on November 17.

The five-track EP follows last year's Brilliant Sanity LP, and each song have been recorded by a different producer, the band enlisted five different producers from electronic / dance backgrounds to see if they could bring anything new to their sound, working with Timothy J. Fairplay, Ghost Culture, Bullion, Oli Bayston of Boxed In, and Moscoman.

About the record the band said: "It was kind of tricky cos just as we were settling into the process it was time to up and off to another studio to meet the next guy. But mostly it was a great experience, we all enjoyed it a lot. The producers we worked with came mostly from dance backgrounds and some had never recorded a band before, so we were all pushed out of our comfort zones a bit which was great. All said and done, it still sounds like Teleman but each song has a different flavour which is what we were hoping for. "

About the video, director, Andrew West says: "The band wanted to shoot a performance video at the MOTH Club in Hackney - and they thought it would be fun if they were all playing the wrong instruments. The club has a bizarre mixture of local talent show glitz and military memorabilia, so I decided to create a tangerine themed magic trick as the catalyst. It was pretty close, but I think the tangerines gave the best performance on the night.”.

Teleman Confirm New Album 'Brilliant Sanity', Share Trailer

London indie rock band Teleman have confirmed they will release their new album 'Brilliant Sanity' on April 08 Via Moshi Moshi Records.

The follow-up to the band’s acclaimed debut, Breakfast, was written in their Homerton studio and recorded in South London with producer, Dan Carey (Bat for Lashes, Kate Tempest, Nick Mulvey).

According to the press release, the driving force behind the album has been the art of songwriting , the process of crafting of the immaculate pop song, the dogged pursuit of the perfect hook, and the result is an album that appears fastidiously and impeccably made, but also charged with joy.
