Watch: TV on the Radio Air Music Video For "Happy Idiot"

Brooklyn indie rock band TV on the Radio have aired the video for their latest single "Happy Idiot".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from their forthcoming fifth studio album album 'Seeds', which will be out on November 18 via Harvest Records. Pre-order your copy here.

The video was directed by Danny Jelinek and stars Paul Reubens aka Pee-wee Herman, as "Racer Steven".

Singer Tunde Adebimpe said in a press release: "I had this idea for the video that I thought would never happen, of Paul Reubens as a race car driver who slowly loses his mind, I took it to Funny or Die and they said, 'That's great, let's go for that.' I got to speak with him over the phone about doing it and, in between being blindingly nervous that I was actually talking to an actor who had shaped a LOT of my world view and trying not to freak him out by saying so, he mentioned that he's been a fan of the band for awhile. He liked the idea, and, somehow, here we are with Paul as a race car driver losing his mind. "Karen Gillan was absolutely great. We were really psyched to work with her, because she's basically sci-fi royalty, and a great person. Full on geek fest in the desert."

TV on the Radio Confirm Details Of New Album 'Seeds', Share "Happy Idiot"

Brooklyn indie rock band TV on the Radio have confirmed details of their upcoming fifth studio album album 'Seeds'.

The band's first album since the passing of bassist/producer Gerard Smith, the new LP is due out Nov. 18 on Harvest Records and was produced by guitarist David Sitek. Pre-order your copy here.

CSS Announce New Album 'Planta', Stream Lead Single "Hangover"

Brazilian band CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy) have announced the release of their fourth studio album 'Planta'.

The follow-up to their 2011 LP La Liberación has been produced by TV on the Radio's David Sitek, and will be released on June 11 via SQE Music. 

CSS have also unveiled the lead single of the album titled "Hangover", it's a synth pop meets old-school dancehall jam, slathered in outer space reverb and big slidey synths. For us, it has a big Bow Wow Wow influence. You can hear it below.
