Floral Image Unleash New Single "El Topo"

Norwich, UK psych-indie-electronica-rock five-piece Floral Image have unleashed their new single "El Topo".

The song b/w  "Subpoena", is out now through Catch 21 Records. With their 3rd single, Floral Image have revealed their most explorative recording yet. El Topo, named after Alejandro Jodorowsky’s cult cinema classic, aims to place you on an epic audial journey through an imagined technicolour landscape that Jodorowsky himself would be proud of producing. Ever mutating, El Topo takes you higher with its pounding Psych-Rock whilst also bringing you back down to earth with passages of awe inspiring ambient soundscapes.

A thumping crowd favourite at their already raucous live shows, El Topo stretches across your ears like a meandering psychedelic river. The single is accompanied by a live session video where you see the band demonstrating their tasteful knack of incorporating both the heavy and the intriguingly mysterious for their Jodorowsky inspired stomper.

Watch: Floral Image Return With New Single/Video "Dial In"

Norwich, UK psych-indie-electronica-rock five-piece Floral Image have returned with their new single "Dial In" and its accompanying music video.

The song, produced and engineered by Gavin Bowers (Never Never Man // Climbing Boys), will be out on April 22 through Catch 21 Records.

Floral Image presents their own psychedelic take on 90’s rave-house. The summer sun is spun in a perpetual party twilight through the 4 minutes of drug chug rhythm, Hacienda piano loops and pumping baggy bass. They come fresh from a string of awe inspiring live shows where Dial In has proven to spiral audiences into trancelike, grooving hedonism.

Who knows what’s to come next from Floral Image? Such is the very raison d’être of the band- and proof they’re not to be missed on our recuperating live circuit.

Floral Image Air Visuals For New Collection "Tapes of Topology"

Norwich, UK psych-indie-electronica-rock five-piece Floral Image have aired a visualizer for their newest collection "Tapes of Topology".

Tapes of Topology is out now and is a collection of recordings featuring experimental originals and remixes which were created when the band could not be together. Get it here.

Similar to a game of Consequences, the idea of Tapes of Topology was for a band member to individually create a piece of music and then to pass it onto the next, which would be inspired by what came before, and to keep doing so until we saw a natural end.

What resulted is a continuous flow of soundscapes whereby each band member submitted two recordings, with the final song being created in a room together after a long period of separation.

Tapes of Topology Tracklist:
01.I/O Focus
02.Laminar
03.Rainsafe
04.[Wait]
05.De 2 Choses Lune L'autre C'est Le Soleil
06.Eye Can See
07.Broads
08.Subpiña Colada
09.Aldous & The Visions
10.Jazz Is Shit
11.Don't Be Afraid To Go It Alone

Watch: Floral Image Share New Single/Video "Why I Leave"

Norwich, UK psych-indie-electronica-rock five-piece Floral Image have shared the video for their brand new single "Why I Leave".

The song, produced, mixed and engineered by Gavin Bowers (Never Never Man // Climbing Boys), will be out next Friday 20th November through Catch 21 Records.

"Why I Leave is a flower show exhibition of what the band are all about... a creamy mix of bright electronic and organic soundscapes, booty-moving rhythm bops for the summertime ceremonies, topped off with often introverted and melancholic lyrics for those long, lonesome nights. Light and dark. Yin and yang. Environmentalism and capitalism? Perhaps."

Combining Motown grooves, 70's synths straight out of some cult sci-fi motion picture and anthemic, singalongable vocal melodies, Why I Leave will have you toe tapping all the way to the brave new world.
