Washington, DC post-punk/alt band Flasher have aired the video for new single "I'm Better".

The song is taken from their upcoming sophomore album 'Love Is Yours', which will be out on June 17th via Domino Record Co. Pre-order your copy here.

From the band: “‘I’m Better’ is about leaving a toxic relationship and finding joy, freedom, and self assurance on the other side,” the band said in a statement. “We filmed the video in central Oregon during a brief escape from pandemic isolation in 2021. The footage captures the expansive feeling that comes with exploring a new place or path forward.”

Watch: Flasher Unveil New Single/Video "Love Is Yours"

Washington, DC post-punk/alt band Flasher have unveiled the video for new single "Love Is Yours".

The song serves as the title track of their sophomore studio album 'Love Is Yours', which will be out on June 17th via Domino Record Co. Pre-order your copy here.

“Love Is Yours is about the roller-coaster highs and lows of a long-term relationship—the kind where a conversation can feel like a tripwire, with subtextual clues that offer the promise of reward if correctly decoded,” the band explains. The accompanying video, directed by Camilla Smura (who also created the video for lead single “Sideways”), “is an homage to National Treasure, because much like a treasure room hidden beneath Trinity Church, love that endures is ‘the greatest adventure history has ever revealed.’”

Flasher Announce New LP 'Love Is Yours', Stream "Sideways"

Washington, DC post-punk/alt band Flasher have announced the release of their sophomore studio album 'Love Is Yours'.

The follow-up to their 2018 debut Constant Image, will be out on June 17th via Domino Record Co. Pre-order your copy here.

Love is Yours steps up the ambition and reaches for the horizon. The record is ablaze with mood, melody, and carefully threaded hooks, finding the band foregrounding the pop sensibilities that had always been present in their previous releases.  The album was written and recorded amid a moment of flux for the band. Now a duo, guitarist Taylor Mulitz and drummer Emma Baker had to reimagine Flasher’s voice. When it was first completed, Mulitz was shy about sharing the album, worrying that old friends would find the new sounds unrecognizable.  

Love is Yours  is unquestionably made up of Flasher’s DNA, but it’s true that something pivotal has shifted. If Constant Image found the band tightening up and transcending its basement-punk roots, Love is Yours marks another, major moment of ascent, this time toward something that’s easy to embrace, but harder to pin down – still thrilling, but newly illuminated and entirely their own.

Flasher Announce Debut LP 'Constant Image', Air Video For New Single "Pressure"

Washington, DC post-punk trio Flasher have announced the release of their first full-length album titled 'Constant Image'.

The album, produced by Nicolas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, The War on Drugs) and recorded last year at Rare Book Room in Brooklyn, NY, will be out on 8th June 2018 via Domino Record Co. It includes the previously shared single "Skim Milk," and their catchy new single "Pressure".

Speaking about the new song and video, the band said: "'Pressure' is a song that treads the line between queer delight and delirium, and crushing isolation and survival. The video for 'Pressure,' made in collaboration with Weird Life films and featuring designer and Chicago based artist An Authentic Skidmark, is a compliment to the paradox of the song itself and an invitation to that world in between."
