Glasgow post punk/glam band Walt Disco have released the video for their latest single "Cut Your Hair".

Singer James Power said: “"Cut Your Hair" was written as a wee fun jibe at people passing judgement to those who are just being themselves. I think older generations can learn a lot from us YOUNG HARD AND HANDSOME folk.".

Single of the Week 25/03/13 - Cut Your Hair "Mad Love"

This week's Single of the Week on Kool Rock Radio is "Mad Love", the title track from Cut Your Hair new 3-track single.

The song, highly influenced by the baggy/Madchester era,  has been in high rotation on www.koolrockradio.com for a few days and we just can't get enough. 

We talked with the boys about the song and they said: 

"It is a love song influenced by a clubby sound and by many dance singles from the 90s like 'Step on' by Happy Mondays. We're all very excited about Mad Love because I think it reflects more what we're becoming as a band and it might show some indications about where do we want to go, what do we want to do."

Watch: Cut Your Hair Unveil Video For New Single "Mad Love"

Cut Your Hair, our band of the month for June 2012, have unveiled the music video for their brand new single "Mad Love", out on April 22 via Mushroom Pillow.

Playfully loved-up, Cut Your Hair present three bristling pop songs about lost youth and lost senses. With lead track "Mad Love" pondering the transience of youth and the possibilities ahead, with a new found clubby hedonism, they move on from the giddy spark of their debut.

The song has been added to our current palylist www.koolrockradio.com.

The video pays homage to the Madchester era. Watch it below.

Band of the Month June 2012 - CUT YOUR HAIR

Cut You Hair is a post-punk, dream-pop band formed in 2010 in Barcelona, Spain. The band consist of Sergio, Aleix and Ed. The three of them went to the same school and decided to form a band because they believed that their souls were connected, just like their vision about music. 

About their music, lead singer Sergio had this to say: "There must be a soul in everything we do, if we don't feel a song, we just won't play it. I woulndn't have any sense to us. I reckon it is too early to label our music yet... So I'm just going to call it all pop by now". 

The band released their debut single "Utah In Pictures" through the spanish label Mushroom Pillow Records on 30 April 2012. The single includes two B-sides: "I Wish I Was Stoned" and "I Just Need Another Friend." 

"I was tired of the place I was living in, so I just went on the internet to check out some cites from wherever… like planning what would be in the future for me. And I bumped into this page with pictures of Salt Lake City. It looked sort of decadent in a way, it inspired me, I knew I had to write the song." Sergio said.

The band is currently planning their second single.

Catalan three-piece, Cut Your Hair, have unveiled a new music video for their track 'Utah In Pictures', taken from their eponymous debut single.
