Color Palette Reveal New Single "Rear View"

Washington, DC indie rock/dream pop/indie-psych band Color Palette (led by Jay Nemeye) have revealed their new single "Rear View".

The song is is the first single off of a new full-length album, which will be released later this year/early next year. Get it here.

From the band: "Rear View" is an upbeat + dancy indie rock jam. It's a breakup song - the kind of breakup song that evokes independence and positivity, aptly summarized by the chorus lyric "press restart and I'm on my way". Musically, it falls somewhere in between Yeah Yeah Yeahs x Metric (lots of synths, hard hitting drums, big guitars).

New Entry: Color Palette Unleash Double Single "River / Lazy Lovers"

Washington, DC indie rock/dream pop/indie-psych band Color Palette (led by Jay Nemeye) have unleashed their new double single "River" / "Lazy Lovers".

Nemeye words: "Me + Kyle (and Joanna + Kate) went to a cabin in a remote ass part of Michigan last summer. We brought a few guitars + other small pieces of gear with us - and we ended up writing and recording demos for 8 songs. “River” and “Lazy Lovers” were part of that batch. After we fleshed them out back in DC, Abby laid down some killer backing vocals / harmonies. Nico did an awesome job mastering, and Navid absolutely slayed the cover art. We think these songs have a super summery / dreamy vibe to them - and it felt appropriate to release them together, the summer after they were originally written. Whenever I listen to these songs, I’m always transported back to that old cozy cabin on the bank of the Michigamme river."
