Watch: Tourists Air Unreleased Song "Remains"

UK dream pop/indie/psych band Tourists have aired a previously unreleased track called "Remains" alongside an accompanying music video.

The song was originally intended for their debut album 'Another State', which came out in November last year. Get your copy here.

Tourists combine elements of shoegaze and synth-pop with deeper-rooted post-punk influences, crafting their own identifiable brand of dark, melodic dream-pop.

Tourists Announce Debut LP 'Another State', Stream "Silent Type"

UK dream pop/indie/psych band Tourists have announced the release of their long-awaited debut album 'Another State'.

Produced by Daniel Schlett (The War On Drugs, DIIV, Here We Go Magic), the 10-track record, will be out on November 20th. Pre-order your copy here.

Another State is an album exploring the shadowy recesses of the human mind and existence, across eleven darkly compelling and utterly immersive dreampop songs, drawing on shoegaze, Krautrock, post-post and synthpop influences.

The brooding, multi-faceted soundscapes of Another State offers an often melodic, sometimes knife-edged, and always enveloping backdrop to the album’s lyrical themes of control, manipulation and escapism, observed with a needle point astuteness, and an overriding message that all is not what is seems on the surface.

UK dream pop/indie/psych band Tourists have unveiled their new single "Smokescreen".

The song is out now and took inspiration from Graham Hancock's "The War on Consciousness". It is the second single from our forthcoming debut album which is due for release later this year, we've already heard "Align".

New Entry: Tourists Return With New Single "Align"

UK dream pop/indie/psych band Tourists have returned with their catchy new single "Align", their first in almost three years.

As needle-fine guitars duel through hives of retro-electronics, ‘Align’ sees the Torquay five piece announce their return with a darkly exhilarating rush of shoegaze-washed atmospherics and breathtaking pace. Ruminating on the concept of interpersonal manipulation and control, ‘Align’ arrives as something of a statement of intent from a band looking to cast off the shackles and take back control of their destiny.

Speaking about why ‘Align’ was the right track to re-introduce the world to Tourists, Tom Wilkinson of the band says: “[Align] follows the idea of somebody mastering their own inner spirit to command others. We feel this track really reflects our main musical influences – the deep-rooted post-punk element coupled with 80s synth/dark-pop. As we played it more it took on a life of its own, getting heavier with more dynamics, and a dramatic, driving ending.”

New Entry: Tourists Release New Single "Masquerade"

UK dream pop/indie/psych band Tourists have released their atmospheric new single "Masquerade".

Tourists are Jamie Giles, Scott Morton, Matthew White, Lloyd Bastow, and Tom Wilkinson. The song, produced by James Bragg (Gengahr/Saltwater Sun/Grace Lightman), is out today (27 January).
