Jennifer Touch Announces New LP 'Midnight Proposals', Airs "Summerchild"

Berlin-based dark wave/electronic artist Jennifer Touch has announced the release of her sophomore album 'Midnight Proposals.' 

New Entry: Jennifer Touch & Chinaski Share Collaborative Track "Dime"

Berlin-based dark wave/electronic artist Jennifer Touch and Frankfurt-based DJ/producer Chinaski have shared their collaborative new track "Dime".

The song "an electroid Synth-Pop trip, with crafty 1980s synths, drums, and vocals," features on the Live at Robert Johnson and Riotvan compilation 'And You?', out tomorrow (June 11). Get your copy here.

In pandemic times of telepresences and social distancing, Live At Robert Johnson and Leipzig’s own Riotvan team up for a magical musical mission. Encompassed by the graphic design of Michael Satter & Panthera Krause, each of the five tracks has been created by teams representing both label crews and their environs, rendering a truly synergetic effort.

Jennifers' words: "Attic is about a time when was a small child and my parents had thrown parties in the attic, dancing the night away listening to their favourite krautrock songs. They were GDR flower-power children, forced to live in a repressed society, behind this wall. The song just came out of me like a laughter or a tear and I realized why I make music. And where it comes from. It comes from my childhood in East Germany, from that attic."

Berlin-based dark wave/electronic artist Jennifer Touch has aired her new single "Chemistry".

Equally at home on and off the dancefloor, it’s wave-kissed dreariness dripping with cold sensuality is both vibrant and brooding. Showcasing her unique sound in the saturated world of electronica, Touch successfully draws from electropop and disco influences, combining 80’s vintage synths with industrial soundscapes, delivered with a visceral post-punk snarl. 

The previously released ‘Chemistry’ (the original version was released by Riotvan last year), has been given an overhaul, and the base of all the songs on the record, Touch penned it in a slump of depression. “I knew I had the music inside me, but it felt like I was stuck,” she explains. The result is a sinister anthem reverberating in industrial charm. "This song was the starting point of the album process and belongs to this record like the seagull to the sea." she added.
