Watch: David Bowie's Extended Preview of New Track "Blackstar"

An extended preview of David Bowie's new single "Blackstar", has shared online as part of a trailer for the television show ‘The Last Atlantic’.

The song features on his upcoming new album 'Blackstar', due out 8th January (the same day as Bowie's 65th birthday), and will be release as a single on November 20th.

Chromeo Announce New Album 'White Women', Preview New Song "Over Your Shoulder"

Montreal/New York electro-funk duo Chromeo have announced they will release their fourth studio album titled 'White Woman'. The record will mark the follow-up to Chromeo's prior full-length Business Casual, which dropped in 2010. 

There's no tracklist or even a release date yet, but the announcement came with a two-minute album trailer featuring a characteristically upbeat song called "Over Your Shoulder." 

The clip was directed by Jérémie Rozan and includes the promise "the new album coming soon." Watch/listen below.

Watch: Visage Premiere "Dreamer I Know" Music Video

Visage have unveiled a new video for "Dreamer I Know", taken from their just released first new album in 29 years 'Hearts And Knives', which is currently our Album of the Week (www.koolrockradio.com).

About the song the band commented: "'Dreamer I Know' is the most immediately accessible song on the album and features a catchy adult-pop chorus which imprints rapidly. Mick Macneil (the former creative musical core of Simple Minds) adds the lead keyboard lines which although played on an old Korg analog monosynth somehow manage to evoke his Scottish homeland."

The video  filmed around Dalston, London, was directed by  Armadno. Watch it below.

Visage have shared the tenth and final preview of 'Heart and Knives', their first album in 29 years, which will come out next Monday (May 20).

About the song, the band say:

"'Lost In Static' slows the tempo of the album down once more with washes of analog keyboard pads, Bowie style elongated guitar lines and a ponderous haunting synth bass line. As with all other tracks on the album new vocalist Lauren Duvall is on fine form here. Many former Visage tracks feature female vocals and with “Lost In Static” Lauren adds new dimnestions and layers to the sound. The Lyrics of 'Lost In Static' talk of a time away in isolation only to return once more to the frey."

Visage have shared a new preview of their upcoming full length 'Hearts and Knives', out on May 20th. This time, it is the fifth track on the album.

"Visage produced their first tracks at Martin Rushents Genetic studio and Martin had started working with the band in 2010 before his timely untimely death. The production and album track placement position of  'On We Go' is influenced by 'I Am The Law' from Human Leagues 'Dare'."

"The slow, thoughtful, synthesizer sound-scape is the calming tonic that breaks the pace of the first four songs on the album. The lyrics talk of character-changing, momentous events that shape the characters we are and who we evolve into."

About the song the band explain:

"'Hidden Sign' is the first song on the album to highlight the masterful bass playing of Steve Barnacle. The clean amped bass line and the 80s beats and grooves propel this song along."

"Hidden Sign is more Visage album two in style when it comes to sound, but the middle 8 and the Steve spoken monologue are possibly one of the high points in the whole album. The lyrics talk about the over analysis of a love affair bringing it to the point of collapse. Does it survive? Draw your own conclusion."
