British/Korean indie pop/alt duo WOOZE (Jamie She and Theo Spark) have shared new single "Bittersweet Timpani".

They explained that Bittersweet Timpani is about “walking home alone, dejected and rejected. We thought the pitiful, pity-party lyrics would juxtapose nicely with the muscular glam-rock bravado of the music”.

British/Korean indie pop/alt duo WOOZE have premiered their catchy new single "Mighty Cloud", alongside an accompanying music video.

The song is taken from the forthcoming new EP ’Get Me To A Nunnery’, set to be released on October 22 through Young Poet Records.. Get it here.

Speaking about it, they say, “The soul of the song came from Bergman’s ‘Fanny and Alexander’ and the tale that Uncle Isak tells about a young man travelling down an endless road. It’s an ode to dissatisfaction and inadequacy and the ways we, as people, seek to alleviate this. We wrote it over the course of a hot and steamy week in the summer in Theo’s bedroom in an attempt to alleviate our dissatisfaction and inadequacy, possibly coming from the fact we wilt in the heat.”

The song is taken from the forthcoming new EP ’Get Me To A Nunnery’, set to be released on October 22 through Young Poet Records. Get it here.

Here’s how they described the song: “Another pun-based fun chasing song that riffs off the French ambiguity between the phrases ‘you are me’ and ‘kill me’. It’s written from the perspective of a jealous, ambitious, and most probably adolescent rival. Another song that we finished very quickly in an afternoon, and is the oldest song on this EP, written a few years ago when we first started."

British/Korean indie pop/alt duo WOOZE have unveiled the video for their newest single "I'll Have What She's Having".

The song is part of our current playlist and is taken from the upcoming new EP ’What’s on Your Mind?’, due to be released on May 3rd through Young Poet Records

Speaking about it, Theo Spark and Jamie She said: "This song is about the grass being greener on the other side from the perspective of someone standing on a circle. We're both really fascinated by different societal expectations and cultural standards of success and how something that's actually so intimate and subjective, ie. one's own success and self worth, is dictated by the masses.

There is no right or wrong way in our opinion. At the same time there's this massive spectrum between something like the hikikomori phenomenon in Japan and someone like Kendall Jenner and Fyre festival - this song is us perching ourselves on the fence and observing the pendulum swinging to and fro."
