New Entry: The Trusted Premiere New Single "Millennium"

Southend-on-Sea indie pop/rock four-piece The Trusted have premiered their new single "Millennium".

The song, recorded and produced by Rees Broomfield, SS2 Studios and mixed by Grammy nominated Andy Bradfield (Elbow, David Gray, Rufus Wainwright),is out today (April 22). grab it here.

The Trusted are Dave Batchelor, Dale Holt-Mead, Fin Cunningham and Tom Cunningham. Initially starting out in secondary school, the band bonded over their mutual appreciation of a strong melody and atmospheric, edgy pop. Sharing an enthusiasm for 21st century Brit-rock led by the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen and The 1975, as well as classic late ‘70s new-wave icons such as The Clash and Elvis Costello, The Trusted thrive off their unique fusion of post-punk energy and storytelling.

Southend-on-Sea indie pop/rock four-piece The Trusted have unleashed their new single "Vellichor".

The song is out today (October 15). Grab it here.

From the band: “‘Vellichor’ is a song about hanging onto old emotions. If you live inside your head for too long, you’re gonna get burnt. Sometimes, you’ve got to let go if you want to run. Is about the emotionally damaging effects of nostalgia, forgotten pain, lost love and bittersweet anger.”

“‘Rebel Song’ is about the resistance and finding beauty through being defiant,” The Trusted’s Dave Batchelor said. “I think we are all pre-programmed to fight for what we believe in, it’s a part of what makes us human. We are all rebelling against something, whether that be against some form of discrimination, political ideals, or even ourselves. Everyday we are fighting and I think there is something quite wonderful about that.”

Watch: The Trusted Unveil "Wild Love" Music Video

Southend-on-Sea indie pop/rock four-piece The Trusted have unveiled the video for their latest single "Wild Love".

"Wild Love" explores themes of rejecting the harsh realities of life and the current political and social upheavals we all face with a desire to run and hide from it all. Lead singer Tom Cunningham describes the track: ‘Wild Love is a song about leaving everything behind and running away with someone. It’s a song about finding a new place away from all the trouble and pain. We all kind of want to run away even if we don’t know where we are running.’ Of the band’s name singer Tom says ‘Its from a Nick Lowe penned song, which Elvis Costello had a hit with called 'What’s So Funny About Peace Love and Understanding' that has the lyrics, "So where are the strong And who are the trusted? And where is the harmony? Sweet harmony.’

Southend-on-Sea indie pop/rock four-piece The Trusted have released their catchy new single "Wild Love".

The song, recorded and produced at SS2 Studios in Southend by Rees Broomfield and mixed and mastered by producer, programmer and DJ, Pete Gleadall (David Bowie, U2, Robbie Williams, Pet Shop Boys MD), is out today (November 8th) via The Orchardle. Grab it here.

It shows another side to the band, showcasing a new height of the bands ability to write soulful and heartfelt lyrics and vocal. Over the soaring and panoramic chorus, ‘Wild Love’ has brought another huge dimension to their live performances and songbook.
