Kidsmoke Confirm Details of Debut LP 'A Vision In The Dark'

Welsh indie pop/jangle pop four-piece Kidsmoke have confirmed details of their highly-anticipated debut album 'A Vision In The Dark'.

According to the press release, the 11-track album, addresses’ topics such as helplessness, relationship dilemmas, negative influences, and even those moments when you have to sit back and laugh at yourself, it will be out on June 19 via Libertino Records. Pre-order your copy here.

A Vision in the Dark has an elegant dreamy pop sound, with creatively spun rhythms.   

From the band: "In lots of ways, it feels like our journey as a band has been leading up to the release of this album; we’ve had times when the future of Kidsmoke has been uncertain and times when our dreams have been realised and we believe this collection of songs reflects that - pushing through the darkness to find the light. It feels like a strange time to be releasing music but making this record was an incredible experience for us and we made the decision not to push the release date back in the hope the songs will be a welcome escape to everything that is happening at the moment."

New Entry: Kidsmoke Unleash New Single "Passenger"

Welsh indie pop/jangle pop four-piece Kidsmoke have unleashed their new single "Passenger".

The song is out today (March 8) and is taken from Kidsmoke's forthcoming debut album, due for release Summer 2019.

Speaking about it, singer/guitarist Lance Williams told BTRtoday: “Passenger” is about losing direction in life, being swept along with the crowd and feeling helpless to stop it. I think our love for The Beach Boys is evident in the vocal harmonies and like a lot of those ‘60s groups we are also naturally drawn to writing three-minute pop songs. Quite often our songs follow a light/dark theme, where the music is bright and poppy, but the lyrics are capturing a darker story. I think “Passenger” falls into that category.”
