New Entry: The Underground Youth Premiere New Single "Fill the Void"

Berlin post punk/psych band The Underground Youth have premiered their addictive new single "Fill the Void".

The Underground Youth have always been steeped in a romantic nostalgia, their poignant psychedelic post-punk sounding like what might happen if Rowland S. Howard, Leonard Cohen, Bauhaus and The Velvet Underground jammed in a room together, but on this new 45 the band have turned this nostalgia in on themselves. 

'Fill The Void' and 'Take Me Awry' offer a reflective journey through the band's impassioned psychedelic post-punk, with it's 80s-style percussion, funeral vocals croons and dark jangly instrumentation that occasionally breaks down into a whirlwind of fuzzed-out guitars.

Helsinki psych-rockers Black Lizard have unleashed the video for their latest single "Black Shadow".

Celebration Of A New Dawn was recorded in the basement of a rundown 50s movie theatre turned recording studio, the new album is a sublime excursion into Sixties-indebted, washed-out garage-pop. ‘Celebration Of…’ is Black Lizards best album yet; bright, vivid and lysergic, the record manages to be unapologetically nostalgic yet carve out its own glorious, introspective pastiche - repackaging the Nuggets-esque garage/psych-pop and early-90s shoegaze swoons for 21st-century wastoids.

Born out of a cold, desolate winter in a corner of Stockholm, the bleak, icy surroundings inevitably became a huge influence on these recordings - blurring the line between sharp, glacial post-punk and the industrial electronic aesthetic of the 80s.
